There are plenty of talented people waiting for their voices and stories to be heard. It's time. This book is for the sole purpose of exposing underground writers, along with myself and many friends. Anyone and anything is welcome. If you write, you're wanted. Poetry, fiction, memoir, life stories, lyrics, creative non-fiction, anything at all. Anyone is welcome, that means you, that means your friends, their friends, everyone. Please do not hesitate to send me anything, this is for everyone, you do not need to know me personally. The underground scene has a lot to say and it does not all have to be screamed.........

But don't be discouraged this book is not about hardcore, you do not need to be in a hardcore band, go to hardcore shows, or even know what hardcore is about. This is for anyone, guys, girls, straightedge kids, drug addicts, doctors, street artists, painters, prison inmates, skin heads, runaways, dancers, diverse people, normal people, anyone with a story.........

This is something that has the potential to change people's lives, to inspire. This is the kind of book that will have something for everyone. The kind of book that someone will sit down and read from cover to cover and then go back to the beginning and read it again. This book will open people's minds, teach them new things, let them know they are not alone, make them think and change peoples perspectives on our scene, the underground scene, as well as show casing the kind of talent many of these authors have!........

Before going to publishers/agents, I need at least three solid pieces to pitch my ideas, so please send me your story, because you could be exactly what I'm looking for. I would like this to come out in about a year ( but I will take two years if I have too, to make sure the book comes out the way it should be) , so don't feel pressured or rushed to send your story right away, you have time to make it exactly what you want it to be. Please please please take your time and make sure you're sending me the final draft of your story. ........

The only guidelines for your submission is, a title and a written by-----line with your story placed at the top. If you choose to not use your own name, either use a pen name, stage name or anonymous. I get many submissions without names and it's easy to put names in, but I want to use the name you want and some people won't want to use their real names, so you must be specific as to what name you'd like to use. It may take me a little while to respond to you as I get so many e-mails and submissions a day (hundreds), but I will get back to you in time I get back to everyone, I promise! The only reason I will not get back to you is if we are not friends and your page won't let me. ........

Please send any material or questions to gds714@yahoo.com. Please don't send material to my myspace, it is hard to reformat the text and when I print it out it often doesn't look the way that it's suppose to. If you just send me an e-mail and attach your story as a file, or just send it as an e-mail, that will work perfectly. Also, please send unpublished material only, so we can avoid copyright infringement. I don't want to sound like a dick but please don't ask me to go to your page or some site to read your material, I get over 100 people a week asking me to go to some page and read their material, if I did that I would never get anything done. Just send your best work. ........

Most importantly send the final draft, please do not send me beginnings or three lines, I can't work with them. If you're sending me a friend request so we can keep in contact please send a message along with it. My page has always been private but I've recently opened it up, but only for the book. I will have a page just for the book very soon. ........
