To anyone who reads this, it affirms that you care enough about this band to know where everything stands, and we thank you from the depths of our hearts for believing in us.

As you have noticed (Have you?) There have been changes in the band, and that's something that should be addressed. About a year ago now, Trey decided to leave to finish school, and start his own rock in Pack of Wolves. It was a huge shock for everyone, and for me. He was a founding member of the band, the last aside from me, who had seen every fucked up twist and turn these eyes, had seen. It broke my heart to see him go, yet there are/were/will never resentments for it, he's my friend. So we replaced him with a friend of Jonny's, named Ryan Goebel who ironically is the brother of Matt who played guitar for AAC in the beginning sounds (New Dance Revolution old school). And that was/is a great fit for the band. After Trey's departure, we set out and did a tour with Dead to Fall (Drunk Amazing) and spent Christmas and New Years together and out on the road with Hatebreed, and Agnostic Front. Although things were great, the grip still seemed to slip. Less and less people were getting into it. Night after night we vengefully, and methodically set out to destroy the minds of everyone who couldn't open up to it. Weeks, Months, Years of resentment building into something new, something molten, insane, and heavy. Splitting tensions with Bobby, the rock solid bassist who had been on the ride since Death to Distraction, took the stage shows to a whole nother level. I've never felt more alive, primeval, and hateful in my whole life. Still, by January he/we couldn't take it anymore, so he left the band and pursued the Zen of Clean Bobby in Richmond, VA. So that made 2 crucial members in 6 months, and I don't think our label took that too well. But fuck them; it was the fans that we really care about. And how many times it did hurt to have to explain where they (vanished members) were was too many for my spirit. Each recital was another crack in the validity of the fight that I have been a part of from the beginning. So we laid low for a while, Mike working at Amy's Ice Cream in Houston, Oz working with the almost dead in a nursing home, me substituting, and Ryan drinking. We collectively hated it, and couldn't wait for the next tour, SXSW, and finding a new and fresh fit for a bassist. March came around, and we did another South By, as a 4 piece, Ryan heroically played bass, Mike shredded like the guitar god he is. And the label and manager were in town for it all. And by that time I think they were realizing that what we were doing, and what we were saying, wasn't the same bullshit metal they so covet and press. New faces, and empty places of the band before their eyes don't go well when they have investments in our commercial success. And by that time, the band couldn't deny the fact that it was a shitty fit, and a bum deal on our newly misfired "Circle of Demons". Were not a fucking metal band, were just real people who play real music, music we feel. And it bit us in the ass in the end, because by April, things teetered on the far distant edges of polarity. On the one hand, the band was in many ways the best it's ever been. With the induction of Liam (Lim Lam, "Aye Wusssup", Drinkin machine from across the ocean) as bassist, the band had for the first time a tension free world. It was liberating in every way, beautiful anarchy that I could write on forever about. The van and the road were about doing whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted. Van rides became miracles of beer cans, drugs, art, and happiness. Disc Golf became our mantra of how great it was to live, and play music, and celebrate every dream we had. And so many of those dreams came true, but others had turned to nightmares. The tour we were on with Today is the Day was a lost cause before it began, in the sense of attendance, and money made. For 5 years, I had given the band everything I had, and night after night under the April moons, saw crumbled remains of a scene, and conquest. Some nights there were literally zero people watching us. Fractions made in comparison to the cost pf driving, eating, sleeping, and playing music. It was the least successful tour of our entire history. And a cold knife in the fire of my heart. So we came home, dreading it more than ever before, because there were no tours booked, and our support team of label, manager, and booking agent by that time stopped giving a fuck entirely, aside from calls and emails about money owed. We had started writing new songs, and an even newer, fiercer sound was being created. With no tour plans, and our beliefs in the bands future straying, we sought out to record a record. By May we found out Century Media had dropped us from their roster. Something that was unimaginable, and specifically negotiated over by our incompetent wretch of a manager. We had been assured, at least 2 records, and the rug was cut before we hit the floor. For whatever reason they decided, we haven't been told, much less do we care. Things have officially bottomed out. The machine, which was so finely tuned, has frozen from the cogs and grease balls caught along the way. No label, no press, no money, no tours, no fans, not much hope. But there is and will always be music, and that's something no one could take from At All Cost. We haven't played practiced or played since June, but have written songs that take the band to another sound, another place. We seek our individual futures for now, some working at school, some just working. Waiting. Waiting for the sun to rise again. Below are the lyrics to a new song that seems to encapsulate a lot of where things are.
-Andrew
At All Cost
"On Hiatus"

Heed the Wait, Feed the hate.

Everything in my life, becomes open when I sing:
Well I'm sick and tired, of living this shit on the road. (Traded rhymes, for my mind). And people keep telling me that they have hope. (Heed the Wait, Feed the Hate). But people don't know. They don't know we sold our souls for a guitar. But how far did we go to starve? I'm falling off the deep end, and drowning in the reasons to give up the dreams that I said I believed in. (Vertebrae, in decay). Well I'm sick and tired, of fading away all those hard nights, each and everyday fights, in the stage light, I think I am loosing my mind. Yes I sold my soul for the guitar, but how far did we go to starve? I'm falling off the deep end, and drowning in the reasons to give up the dreams that I said I believed in. It's almost time, close your eyes, exhale, and dream. The further we go, the further we know who we are, who is your friend? Where did family go? When did love end? It's almost time, close your eyes, and dream….

It's been a long time since I saw you guys play in what is admittedly the shittiest venue in Myrtle Beach, SC , and an almost as long time since I've stopped by to hear the changes. It's good to see that you guys are still fighting despite losing members. From what I'm hearing on your page, it's been well worth the turmoil. Good luck.

Editing to say that I somehow missed the point, and to correct myself: I don't see much fight at all, and that bothers me. But the 'good luck' still stands.

ok, thoughts collected...

you guys have given me four and a half good years of experiences. be it from shows in the middle of no where, riding in a smelly van with smelly guys, eating pizza in some kid's kitchen that his mom bought for everyone, hanging out in a basement on the opposite end of america or just having a soundtrack to events in my life both lived and yet to come. i'll miss at all cost as it was, and as it became... but not how it is now. i will always continue to support whatever musical incarnations come out of those years i witnessed.

this band and andrew, its pretty much the only thing that reminds me that there are people out there that think and feel the same way i do,

the day i set down with andrew for the interview that made everything i go through worth it hearing my hero say the same things i believe in

since andrew told me no one talks anymore that no one fucking talks, i've talked to so many different people and shared life stories, exchanged ideas, beliefs

all of you guys, i saw you everytime you came to arkansas, it was the show that always reunited our music scene, things would slow down and fall apart, but when an at all cost show was coming to town, people were excited, it made us feel alive

even you dont come back to arkansas
i wont forget when the nights i felt most alive

when i was out there singing ever word

Aw come on guys don't pull this hiatus thing.

Take things back to the way things were. I know its hard but maybe the ol DIY way is what you guys got left. It got you guys pretty far in the beginning. Forget the century media bullshit. You guys have talent to change and move people. The first time I saw you guys was in 05 at a sxsw show. You guys killed it ever since then i've been a fan.

Well at least your creating the music you feel and like. Thats the best thing. And as far as fans go it is sad how the turnouts have been. The last show I went too I was extemely disappointed in the crowd. Its a shame that no one else can see the epicness that you goes possess. Good luck and I hope to see yall soon.

Me and my guitarist were just talking about you guys today...its crazy that i see this headline on a music site...i remember about three years ago when we put on a show at my venue in philly, called the syndicate. i just remember how fucking excited i was that i was going to be opening for you guys, as well as nodes of ranvier and alove for enemies. that was probably the highlight of my life. seeing you guys live was like no other band ever, ive seen so many bands, so many kids, and so many stage shows in my life, but you guys had a stripped down, raw, bare bones show that absolutely destroyed what was left of the so called scene, IN A GOOD WAY! we still champion youre stuff on the daily, and where wondering if you guys had a new cd coming out soon...i guess this answers that question :/. anyway dont ever let anyone change you guys again if you decide to bring the beautiful creation at all cost back, fuck century media, fuck "metal" of today, you guys touched alot of people in a lot of places, and just because it isnt shown all the time with venue turnout and cd sales, just remember that you guys meant alot of things to alot of people. Much Love From the 215.

hey dudes, it's wark. I just want you to know that I will always support your band, you're the only band I make it a point to see when you come play shows because I love the music you have created, and because you make music for the right reasons. You've inspired me to become more aware of what's going on in this corrupt carbon copy world and better myself, and for that I thank you. You're all very talented, and I wish you luck in all future endeavors and trust that the warkmaster will always support you. Thanks for all the killer songs/great times. Miss partying with you guys. Fuck yeah, bitch!

{p.s.} don't let the fact that a lot of people didn't show up to your concerts / buy your records... are you surprised? almost everything in this world that's truly great gets no recognition because people aren't smart enough to explore smarter and more tasteful options in music and movies. Think about how many retards thought No Country For Old Men sucked. Honestly, you wouldn't even believe it. The world we live in has been fucked in the ass with a big corporate fox11-24keifersutherland-superhero-fastfood-mallpunk-consumerism dildo and their brains have been washed with milky shit, so I'm not surprised that people don't stand behind you. People are fucking idiots. It's their fault too... and it's only getting worse... Why do you think they still make movies like Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet The Spartans, Superhero Movie, Scary Movie and Disaster Movie? You guessed right if you said "Because people support them". Yes, it's fucking embarassing... people are giving money to uninspired society bottom-feeders. It's downright fucking frightening.

Its a really terrible night for me to read this. Even though from the looks of things this past year I knew something like this might come up, I always hoped the band would never be brought down. I know the spirits are hurting, but they are far from broken. I am from Corpus Christi/Rockport TX, and I remember seeing you guys play at Equal Eyez. I remember when you went on tours with the boys from fucking Stringer. And damnit, I remember when you guys played at the fucking beach in rockport at the circle. I remember when me and my friends were stoked to see that Death to Distraction was in the works on some random yahoo music online article. The point is, this band has given me many memories that I will always hold close to my heart music wise. Ill never forget the times at the red 7 when I would get on stage and scream the words I know and love right along with you andrew. This is a big blow. But I know the fight continues. I know you guys will be back in some shape or form, and ill be right there with you when you come.

Much respect, and much luck to all of you.

Word! Listen to this man. You guys are fucking badass no matter what way you look at it. It's time to Decide was a huge deal fro me, because I was not a guy who enjoyed much metal or hardcore music at the time. The Formula really changed my opinion, and opened up my mind to something completely different.

But it wasn't just the music. The message I found in the music was intense, and I came to realize I already knew what I was reading, but it didn't take shape until I really started listening to At All Cost. I started believing in something. I remembered that music doesn't have to just sound beautiful, but it can have a meaning that's beautiful all by itself.

When this country crumbles, and we fight for our liberty, At All Cost will be my theme music as I ride into battle.

Circle of Demons was different from the previous album, and kind of caught me off guard. Now I find it hard to turn back, though. I've literally been listening to that album while driving my car for about 4 days now. I drive a lot, so that's saying something.

Even if you guys disperse forever, I will always believe in you.
