Hello Freedomphiles!  Willfull ignorance is once again on the march all across this great land of ours.  FoxNews reports:

The debate over evolution is evolving. Although federal courts have banned teaching "creation theory" or "intelligent design theory" in public schools, legislators in several states are seeking new ways to allow teachers to cast doubt on the theory of evolution.

The Florida House of Representatives passed a bill this week that will require schools to teach "critical analysis" of evolution.

On Tuesday Michigan introduced a similar "academic freedom" bill. Louisiana, Alabama and Missouri also have legislation under debate, although no state has adopted a law yet.

Opponents say these bills that allow the questioning of evolution are a smokescreen for teaching creationism or intelligent design.

In related news, four states are debating legislation to question the "theory" of gravity, to challenge the unproven notion that God doesn't drag the Sun across the sky with His chariot, and to verify, once and for all, whether or not stepping on a crack will break yo mama's back.

Over Unity

Science already teaches a "critical analysis" of evolution. In fact, that's what science IS. Scientific thought consists of empiricism, rationalism, and skepticism. The scientific method is the process of hypothesizing, disproving, and corroborating. How exactly are creationists going to add more critical analysis to this process? A scientific theory is a unifying and self-consistent explanation of fundamental natural processes or phenomena that is totally constructed of corroborated hypotheses. Creationists can go ahead and re-test every hypothesis if they want, but they have already been so repeatedly tested and so much reliable evidence exists, that it would be perverse and irrational to deny it out of hand and call it a critical analysis.

"Education is the process of domesticating Humans."

The “Public School System” is where the government trains our children to sit, speak, roll over, and play dead. The difference between what schools do and what a good dog trainer does is, in principle, the same thing. A good child, like a good dog, is one who does what it is told, when it is told and does not tear up the house when left unattended. The Master trains the dog (child) to behave and perform according to the Master’s will. Domesticating Humans is a little more involved – Humans are able to be trained to do a lot more tricks – but, in principle it is exactly the same process. What can I say? A dog trainer would NEVER teach a dog to lead him around on a leash. We just can’t take any chances about teaching children how to think for themselves. They just might figure out what is really going on and bite the Master’s hand.
