The nice folks at FilmInFocis.com just published an interview with me that was conducted last month. If you'd like to know more about how I started blogging and why I write please check out their latest Behind the Blog segment.

On a sad note, the beautiful actor John Phillip Law has passed away. I really loved John's films and he made many great ones. I posted a small tribute to the man on my blog at Cinebeats.com

R.I.P. John Phillip Law

I was really sad to hear about John Philip Law passing away.
A good friend of mine, actor Ted Markland, was a great friend of his. Ted called me at the end of April to tell me that John Philip Law had been diagnosed with cancer and was given 6-8 months to live. I was instructed not to mention anything about JPL's condition to anyone!

Even though I knew he was ill and that his time was limited, I was still shocked when Ted called me early Wednesday morning to tell me that John had passed away on Tuesday.
I had expected the guy to last through every bit of those 6-8 months, and then some.

He was a tremendous screen presence that will be missed by many!

I got to see him speak at the Egyptian here in Los Angeles a few months before he passed. He was tired, but grand, and even amused by the memories of his own vigorous youth as a piece of American sunshine blooming in Europe that the questions brought up. His family was with him. As to be expected, they were beautiful.
