Wild!
Delhi is wild! Good kind of wild and not so good kind of wild. There's always loads of things happening, from politics to business to culture and general chaos. The good part is that there's so much happening that a lot things can get lost in the noise. And that is the bad part too. So much goes absolutely unnoticed…by anyone.
I got sucked (or suckered) into Delhi with college, and never left, although I long to. While nothing can and does tie-me in here, for some strange reason, I appear to be tied. Maybe it's because I don't have much of a life elsewhere (I'm quite the home-to-work-to-home kind of guy).
I often get quite frustrated by the unfriendliness and general aggression of the city. There's a hell of a lot of that around. If there's one place where people couldn't give two hoots about others, this is it. I can't figure out what talks louder here, money or downright dirty abuse!
That said, this is a great place to really pick your friends and create a little personal metropolis of your own…a virtual island, where you can only be as bothered about the rest of the world as you want to be. Drawing that line is where the fun begins and ends.
