Ha! No I didn't get locked up for wandering around the village in stockings ( eat ur heart out Tim Curry). Got to the post office, bought a paper and got back safe and sound. The trip would normally take 5 mins. Lol it took an hour all but 5 mins!

Spoke to a few folks on the way. Amazed how many people got flooded in our village during the deluge. Mind you my garage was flooded. But at least there is no carpet in there.

Floods in the area are bad and it is a tragedy for those flooded out but I must admit I get angry when people try to blame others for not stopping it happen. It freak weather for goodness sake. It happens every so often. The Government can't stop it happening. We just have to get on with life. Removing "Road Closed" Barriers to drive where you want to and then having to have the rescue services diverted to rescue you - selfish and nuts; to pelt nurses with missiles and shout abuse at them because they are being helped by the police through the closed roads to do their job when you are not able to rubber neck beyond that point - Selfish and nuts. What are some people like?
