i am super happy that im now able to get all the smyrk songs ever in history but still upset at the end of this great band

Well, no matter what you guys do after tuesdays show, we'll all be behind you with whatever comes up.

there are no words to express just how much your band has meant to me over the past two years. you've been comforting & majorly inspiring & outright mindblowing. you had one of the most unique sounds i'd ever heard, and few other people have affected me as much you have.
that said, it's almost worth it to hear "sevyn" again. it's always been one of my favourites, and i lost my one copy a while ago. and feared i would never hear it again.
you're all brilliant & funny & cute, and i'm sure you'll move on to do other amazing things.
i'm going to adore & miss The Smyrk forever.

So, I'm a guy. And I never cry. But you guys have me really close to tears.

There's very little in this music "industry" that really blows my mind musically anymore. Everything is a shade or a bare reflection of something that came before it. However, it has always been the bands, such as yourselves, that I have hit play for and come away wondering what the hell it was I just heard combined with the feeling of "Holy crap that was...awesome!" that has continually re-instilled my faith in the world of music.

You know, and I apologize for being late to the party, but when Ben Kenney mentioned way back when that you guys were worth a listen, I had no idea that you guys weren't really just worth a listen. If you had been treated as rightly as you should have, you folks should have been showered with something to the effect of "wow, here's the next big sound in the music industry."

It makes me sincerely sad to see another good band bite the dust. This is the fourth I've been through in my lifetime as a fan (I have a vicious habit of finding bands that are right on the cusp).

Regardless of what you guys finally decide, although I strongly echo the sentiments of some of the above posters and think you guys shouldn't give up on the really good thing you have going, I can guarantee that all of us who listened to you and still listen, will continue to listen.

For whatever piece of the big ole pie of music floating around the universe you guys contributed, well, it's always gonna be there and I am grateful for your contributions, your creativity, your ingenuity, a lil' bit of your souls, and really, more than anything, for putting it all out there for us to share, smile and even "holy crap" at.

First off, J Lush - you're a dipshit. If you actually knew the band and were friends with any of them, you'd know how things went down. Regardless of what is right and wrong in their situation, they are breaking up and it's a shame.

How can you blame that on the fans? Are you the only "Fan" who stayed up late voting for the Dew Circuit? Nope. Were you at and of the shows before Doron joined the band? Nope. Are you the only fan that matters? Nope.

You're a tool. Seriously, who the hell are you to call out fans? And who are you to say they weren't ready for this? Maybe instead of calling out real fans and making stupid conclusions as to why they broke up, you should just be thankful that this band made some kickass music - and not just for you "the only Smyrk fan that matters"

well guys, i never got to see you live but i think it's funny that we're all starting a new page. after 5 years you decide to go for something new, and i am doing it too and moving to the u.s.
