Current mood:  aggravated
I am one of those crazy Hillary supporters that can NOT imagine voting for Obama in the general election.

It used to be that I was cool with either getting the nomination, that is no longer the case. I find Obama to be a real dick head and so disrespectful towards women. This is a much stronger stance than Jon Stewart's, "Obama might be a good candidate, but it seems like he'd be kind of a dicky boyfriend" line.

First, I have read millions of books on feminism but by no means am I one of those ultra sensitive, play the gender card all the time, type of women. After all, I love Howard Stern (a strong Hillary supporter). The way that the talking heads discuss Hillary's cackle and cankles makes me sick but I am fairly laid back to such things. Like most women, after reading Gloria Steinem Op-ed piece http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/08/opinion/08steinem.html at the beginning of the race I realized that her glass ceiling is most definitely the highest and hardest to break.

With that said let us go over some things that Obama has done/said.

First, his mother raised him as a single mom and his father abandoned him. Guess what he decided to name his book, "Dreams from my Father". When the Reverend Wright issue was first made he said that he couldn't hold Wright accountable and in the same breath threw his "racist" grandmother under the bus.

These may seem minor but I do believe that the man has some women issues.

He has repeatedly talked down to women, mainly Hillary. He has said, "You challenge the status quo and suddenly the claws come out." I doubt he would say the same thing about McCain.

I find these videos to be very condescending notice the term "PERIODically"

Even today he did again

There are a billion other reasons why I can't stand Obama. His lack of substance. His preachery voice. His comparisons, that he makes, to other great leaders. His supporters that seem to all be drinking the Obama Kool-Aid.

This may be over but I refuse to ever be Hoodwinked.

I will turn my back on him the same way he snubbed Hillary

Even McCain (who I promised my mom I would not vote for no matter what) has allegedly called his wife the C word and yet he would never say the kind of last century boys club kind of mumbo-jumbo that Obama says to a fellow opponent.

Perhaps my "bitterness" will subside but I doubt it. After all, "According to him, we women just can't handle the stress of the big time. We get depressed, and lash out, you know" (Taylor Marsh http://www.taylormarsh.com/)

ok. I woulda voted hillary had I been a major party voter... but at this point it is all rhetoric and bullshit. down to the wire we can see that both candidates are completely a part of the washington click, that they are really the same, and that the differences between democrats and republicans are really just talking points... sorry, but the whole political process is shitty. what we really need is a revolution, or a Napoleon type charector to force us to the correct side of things... let's get metric! and improve a national mass transit. fuck accountability... really fuck democracy. I am sick of having the lowest common denominator choose my leader.

"It is very short-sighted and naive to think that all of us who don't support Obama must then support McCain.

My vote is MINE. It does not belong to Obama, Hillary or anyone else. I freely gave it to her. But now that she is out of the race it belongs to me again. I will decide who gets it.

I supported Hillary because she earned it, she did not expect me just to follow her like sheep. I will not become sheep now because it suits some."

"Many of us see in Obama another Jimmy Carter, except without the basic integrity. Just as Jimmy Carter had a failed Presidency that mostly did little good when he was President, and certainly damaged the Democratic Party brand for well over a decade, so also we expect that Obama will do the same. Indeed, many of us believe he will become far less effectual and far more unpopular than Carter ever was.

Would it have been bad for Carter to have lost in 1976 if a good, effective Democratic leader might have won in 1980 against Gerald Ford? I claim that Carter losing would have been far better for progressives, for Democrats, and for the country.

And, as I've said, the like applies even more powerfully to Obama for many of us. He embodies everything voters have found unlikable about the Democratic Party in a single person -- far more so than Jimmy Carter. The elitism, the sneering, condescending quality, the divisiveness, and, going beyond what Democrats were known for in the past, the smearing of political enemies."

Shockingly, these two blog comments are the first smart thing I have read since Hillary dropped out. Hillary constantly said, "I want to be held accountable, I am applying for the toughest job in the world." Obama has not come close to proving himself to me.
