It's a great book but I don't get the point of revising it. Surely it's not just a marketing ploy to promote the new book?

also interesting how many of the themes in this were weaving their way through the lyrics of Nicks songs and to be able to observe the creative process in action behind it all

I loved this book too - and treasure my autographed copy! Lots of lovely black humour ;)
It will be interesting to see if there are any significant changes in the new edition.

It's brilliant...I gave a copy to my girlfriend and she loves it too...can't wait for the Bunny Munroe book to come out...been listening to Nick reading excerpts online and I'm hooked already (the Warren Ellis violin accompanyment really adds to the atmosphere)...really looking forward to reading it in September.

Its a modern classic....so not sure how revising it will help it literally.
Obviously it's timed to sell on the back of the new book sales....i've got no problem with that.
An illustrated version could be good....however Nick Caves' words illustrate well enough without pictures.....I can imagine an audio version with Nick and Warren doing the backing track would be interesting.....Actually thinking about it why not go the whole hog with a film.....somehow I've always thought of this book as being a grainy b/w and sepia toned film....something along the lines of that Johnny Depp western.
