So much going on right now that I find it hard to focus on one topic to blog about.
We are in the middle of sculpting figures from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix, and Kratos from God of War amongst others. I have to say that the first 6 months of 2007 are looking pretty good for fans of NECA's movie and video game action figures.

I hear "V" hit the store shelves just in time for the 5th of November so start checking your local shops.

Some teaser images of 300 figures are coming later this week - now that we have solved the problems with the new site staying up & running. These figures and this movie will rock!
Check the trailer if you haven't already.

Since a lot of people keep asking - yes, we are doing Reservoir Dogs figures but they will not be released until April/May so it is a ways off. Plans as of now call for a series of 5 different figures in clamshell packaging and also window boxed set that contains all 5 figures perhaps with some cool extra accessories. We will keep you posted as final painted sculpts for all of the actors are ready to be shown.

There are a few things that we are considering for later in '07 that I want to get some opinons on because we care what you think and what you want to buy so if you are into any of the items below please share your thoughts...

Wesker Wesker Wesker please. Alfred and Alexia would make a cool 2 pack, they are small kids, please dont waste 2 slot on them...imo. Barry Burton, Clair Redfield, Rebecca Chambers and Billy from 0 are your only other main people.

 

You should make a line of monsters, dogs, zombies, hunters, lickers. Maybe a Tyrant or Nemisis.

RE 10th Anniversary Series 2: Should include an Albert Wesker in his S.T.A.R.S uniform including his radio, headset, and glasses and his gun as accessories with a hunter-figure; a zombified Forest Speyer figure with grenade launcher and a potted green herb; and include a variant zombified Forest Speyer figure with bombs wrapped around his body [as seen in the RE remake "Once Again" special game]; another Jill Valentine figure with different gun holding pose, preferably one where she's holding the gun down as she explores the Arklay Mansion; a Kenneth J. Sullivan figure with the first unstoppable zombie [that is seen eating him in the RE remake]; a Joseph Frost figure with a Cerberus guard dog; and finally a Rebecca Chambers figure. Each new series should include on major part of a boss monster, in this case, different pieces of the Tyrant [from the RE remake]; just like the people at Moby Dick Toys did by including pieces of the [Final] Nemesis parts in each different packaging. Please? Pretty please? :^D

For the Resident Evil Ann. Series 2 , I'd like to see a Nemesis figure, or even a Mr.X.  along with various zombies, much like the Resident Evil 4 series 2 monk figures where you could buy various monks, but zombies instead, and Alexia in either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd form.  Maybe a boxed set featuring a scene from the game like a steel platform in the sewer of umbrella lab, or part of the train in the RE 2, that would be sick!!!

Wesker from resident evil remake would be cool...but i think id rather have him in his suit from RE4, Lisa from the remake would be awesome!, a leech zombie from Resident Evil 0, hunter gamma from RE3, um um G-imago from RE2! ya know the wierd larvae thing william spits up, hes the first boss. William Birkin G-1 .....i could go on...but yeah hey how bout a box set. El Gigante or William G-5 would be oh so sweet. but whatever you decide, put Wesker in the series, he's a must. pleeeease

Yes, to Amanda figure.    Heck, i think we'd even be up for a boxed set of the Bathroom set from Part 1, with Lawrence, Adam, and Jigsaw.

Huge friggin yes to large scale Billy.  I don't know how big he is, but i'd rather a full size replica figure with sound than 18 inches

I'd go with Straight Jacket Hannibal.  A.   It's the most iconic image of the character

Awesome about Reservoir Dogs.  can't wait.

Yeah Id Love a 12" Saw Puppet! But What About NBX? Id love a new series with Snowman or Poor Jack, Sandy Claws, Monster with Spiders in his hair, and a Mrs. Finkelstein.  theres so many more charecters.  I love to hear that your working on HP 5 at the moment.  I cant wait to see if we get a Tonks, Belatrix, Lucius Malfoy, or Dumbledore.  I am requesting a Filtch, Snape and Mcgonagal however, because Cards Inc is making them why cant NECA? lol. I would love to see 18 inch or 12 inch versions of The trio as well With Good Bases.  maybee A Set of Interlocking Forbidden Forest Bases? Could you answer a question for me though Randy?  I want to get into the RE line, but financial reasons I'm debating. My question is: how far do you see this anniversary line going?  Are you planning a certain amount of waves PER game or is it just going to concentrate on RE1?  Any insight into the future of the RE line would be most awesome. I personally want an 18" CC5 Hannibal in straight jacket.

A Tyrant, William G3/G4, Wesker, Hunter, Licker another zombie or two (maybe a Crimson?) for REAS2, please. A jumbo Tyrant (the bigger the better) would also be swanktacular.

Also, I would love to see you guys snatch up the Devil May Cry series license. All kinds of figure potential there spanning the 4 games.

And lastly, please grab the Silent Hill movie rights. A 7" Pyramid head with a couple of Nurses would be just dandy and an 18" Pyramid Head would simply rule the world.

The Amanda figure, I'd have to say no. Female figures traditionally do not sell well. Unless of course, you will not be retaining the license for much longer. Then in that case: milk it boys!

Billy the Puppet...Make it super detailed and functional. Then Limit it to very few units. Make it the must have SAW geeks crown jewel.

Hannibal A, is my pick. The straight jacket is iconic.

As far as RE2, give Mila Jovavich a figure, she deserves it and it would sell well.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Hills have eyes line. Those sculpts would be fun.
