Who Gives Kudos:

Friday, January 25, 2008
Hey all,

I’ve managed to compile the complete Dismantled discography and put it all in MP3 form on Nimbit for you to own! This covers Dismantled from 2001 till 2007 and includes rare tracks and remixes that I have compiled. In a world where artists need all the support ever and the labels who once nourished these artists are either folding or moving on to acts with more selling ability rather than creative ability, YOU are the one who counts! All proceeds from you buying these MP3s will go to me directly and will let ME know that you want to hear more music from ME and support what I do despite the harsh circumstances surrounding my situation. It will make me happy knowing that you bought it from me rather than a third party that will either diminish my income to a fraction of its worth or simply refuse to pay me at all.

Anyway, past the bureaucracy bullshit-- I’m excited to share some of this stuff with you. There are some gems in here that are unavailable anywhere, including the first ever Demo Variations CD that started my journey, some rare tracks, and some remixes that I’ve done for other bands. Fields (Original) is the way I intended for the song to come out on Standard Issue before mastering squashed the chorus, Standard Issue (Version) is a eerie rendition of one of my most heartfelt works, and Dystopia (Acoustic) is a completely unrecognizable version of the synthetic menace done with just guitar and vocals. Oh, and there’s an Exit (Instrumental) version-- can you find it?

I hope you enjoy this stuff.. And if you have any questions about any of the songs or the stories behind them, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.

Once again.. I could not have done any of this without the support of the fans and I am proud that I am able to share all this through Nimbit. Thank you once again and don’t let the music die!

-Gary

Update: Two new piano instrumental tracks have been added to Nimbit as well as a bunch of demos / instrumentals from When I’m Dead. All encoded in 320!

Wow... thank you for making these available. Normally I absolutely hate the format of MP3 (with as much of a technogeek as I am, I like having a physical CD with artwork and such, but from other bands I have heard complaints of being ripped off by MP3 companies along with the problems of illegal downloading.) I'm glad to know it's going straight to you. By the way, "Fields" is one of my all time favorite songs.

Omagad, I didn't see all the rare tracks! If course I bought it ! Like I said it's a really good idea, I'm very impatient to listen instrumental songs (The Living Dead! It must be amazing!)

As always, so excited to see more Dismantled stuff--I'm grabbing everything I don't already have (and some I'm not sure, but even if I do, oh well, you need the cash, yeah?)

I got the "Standard issue - Alternative version" - It seems identical to the the track 8 (standard issue) on the album standard issue. What is the difference?

There's some production differences on the vocals and background noise. Actually I'm listening to it right now and it seems a lot different!

Bitrates are 192 for all the tracks but some of the old remixes are 128.

h3y man,, it's gr3at to hear not just your mvs!c...but the truth you wrote about [above] that tells it like it is regarding the bvllsh!t of the commercial + gr33dy bastards that have overtaken so many labels & music industry pipelines, whew...

also V3ry glad to learn about the way nimbit is supportive & fair to folks who are just trying to make an honest buck for their creative work/talent.

.....d(^_--)b....keep up the great jammin'....

I am convinced you have absolutely no idea how fucking good your music is. When I ask around (I'm an Industrial/alternative tour manager/promoter from aus) nobody has EVER heard of your project. When it's played in the clubs, I get flocks of people coming to the booth wanting to know who did the "straight up" cover or what was the "breed to death" song I just played.

Your music is pretty much exactly what I want out of Industrial music, if you'd call it industrial - but who cares.

I've been listening to the genre since early(1098) FLA and (1993)Suicide Commando, your music is by far the most dynamic I've heard, and i know everyone I've played your music to agrees.

If you ever come to Sydney, let me know. I'll hook you up a gig and spot to DJ if you're interested.

Massive, massive Kudos to great music.

Tony.
