So part of me wants to stand up and cheer - SAW IV takes to the streets tomorrow! I am nervous and excited about it's release... It's such a different film than SAW II, III - that I am interested in hearing peoples take on 'what it really is'. So far a lot of people who have seen it - love it! But while I want to be out celebrating the release of IV - I find myself bumming about our last day of production on REPO.

Thats rights friends - today REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA wraps in Toronto. As most of you know by now - we premiered a clip from REPO on the SPIKE AWARDS. Thank you all for your kind words and comments - - I stick by my promise - REPO is unlike anything you have ever seen...

I know some people where taken aback by 'PARIS' in the trailer - - I stand by my decision of casting her - as she is amazing as Amber Sweet... And when the movie is released - people will see why she was cast. Her voice is great - and her character is great!

But I do think Repo is not an easy movie to grasp upon a 80 second teaser trailer... I wish I could have a big party tomorrow and open up club and just SHOW everyone what this movie is... It is NOT SAW - - It is not some cheesy musical.

Today we wrap all our actors - and tear down the sets... After years and years of battling the world to get this film made - I stand here with a mixed bag of emotions... Estatic that I was able to bring this thing to life... But sick to my stomache to think it's over... Every single day coming to set has been like a dream come true - because I know I am involved in something big - bigger than me. This film is not some cookie cutter - run of the mill - slice and dice'em flick... But a very special and unique story... It has been an honor to work with the people I have on this film...

So, here is our plan of attack... Tonight - and Tomorrow - EVERYONE go out and see SAW IV!!! Tell your friends - brings your friends - fuck - bring your parents - grandparents... Lets show the horror isn't dead!

Then - next month - once Saw Mania is finished help me promote the fuck out of REPO! As this is truly a project not to be missed!

Already friends and loyal readers - my cast is on set waiting! I must stop blogging - and go direct the final song of REPO - appropriately titled "I DIDN'T KNOW I'D LOVE YOU SO MUCH!"

Fuck yeah! Saw IV tomorrow. Got my tickets for 12pm tomorrow and for 1pm on Saturday w/ friends. Ill try to see it IV times if I can. Picked up the DC of Saw III this week and its awesome. Loved that ending much better than the thearical or unrated version. Hell... I now have 6 copies of SAW at home! Better do the same for SAW IV. And keep it up with the awesome commentaries. Loved the new one w/ you and Mr LaRose on this last disc. I look forward to the next two dvd releases of SAW IV (hint hint, dont forget to make two versions!) I need more SAW at home. And for REPO, lets do the same, need theatrical and UNCUT 6 months later on DVD. Keep up the bloody good work!

It is crazy how you seems to be a good and kind person...when you know that you are also the director of one of the harder movie series...
Saw III was very disturbing for me. I hope a different feeling on the end, maybe the feeling to be free of something, I do not really know.

I hope we will learn much more about Gig, I think he was a guy better than we can see him now.

Well, wish you the best for this Last day on Repo. Take care of you!

I loved Saw IV! Too bad reviews are embargoed till opening day. Soon, I will post links to Horror.com in my blog with photos from the party in L.A. (we missed seeing you there this year!), the Toronto TV junket interviews (Chance-dog got some promo!), and stuff from Repo when the embargo lifts next week. Thank you very much for being so accomodating and enthusiastic on-set and at the press day. We all had a great time.

I agree with Doug's comment.

You should have a special screening of Repo! with all the cast, extras, crew & fans - that would be incredible!

Congrats on all the great movies you've made to date - I look forward to your next projects!

The clip on Spike was PURE AWESOME man. Every time I had a chance to be on set I was more and more excited to be a part of REPO in my small way; it just kept looking and sounding better and better.

Don't let those asshats on the various forums get you down, REPO isn't for them and they'll never get it. It's going to be brilliant.

HEY!! Can't wait for REPO! It looks like it's going kick some ass! I was a little apprehensive about seeing it at first, but after the trailer I am genuinely excited to see it! The music in the teaser is freaking catchy as hell. I've been singing it for a couple hours now. Great Job Darren! not long before I get to see Saw IV. I'm stoked!

Btw, is Paris playing the character that Shawnee did for the short??

I'll be hitting Saw IV for sure this weekend, looking forward to it. But I have to admit, that teaser clip for Repo! has me completely fascinated. And your casting has me excited. Especially with Anthony Head, who I'm a huge fan of. Kudos to you for handing out these truly unique roles to such a diverse group of talent. You have my attention and anything we can do to help promote it, when you're ready, just shout.

Please tell me that you are releasing the soundtrack of REPO! before the film is out. I just gotta have it!! (And I DID love the bridge of the song where Paris sings. Her voice with the way the strings were arranged and Terrance's voice too...gotta have this soundtrack!!! I might just love this as much or more than JCS - and you know that's a compliment.) I hope there is an official trailer coming out soon. I'm planning on seeing SAW IV tommorow night. Later bro.

Don't be sad DLB, cause WHEN Repo kicks the box office in the testis and robs it of its money, you'll be asked to do a sequel next year and you'll get to see every one again :)

i just saw that 6 disc set of the first trilogy and i immediately thought back to one of the Saw 3 commentaries where you and James Wan were joking about 79 disc sets and all that. lol

i missed the Scream Awards :(

Saw 4 is gonna be great, i can tell. i can also tell that its going in a different direction then the other three as will the rest of the second trilogy. should be very interesting!

im gonna be acting like a total fan boy in the theatre tomorrow. lol i'll probably embarass myself with my knowledge of the Saw world trying to explain it to some idiot whos there with his girlfriend or something. lol

I saw an early midnight premiere of Saw IV last night. Absolutely unbelieveable. You completely out-did yourself and should be very proud. Just when you think the story is at an end, you are able to find an open window. You are an incredible Director, Darren. Keep reaching for the stars -- you are there!!

I can't wait to see REPO!!

Mike: (Greetings and salutations. He's not Mike.

Ike: (Southern accent) He ain't Ike. So we already been promotin' Repo! amongst our fans, and we'll keep doin' it. We bugged the hell out of people for Evil Dead-The Musical. It's the least we can do for this one.

M: Especially since it will probably replace Sweeney Todd as our favorite movie musical after it replaces Little Shop of Horrors this Christmas.

I: Still not sure about Paris, but ya got Anthony Steward Head and Paul Sorvino, so we're willin' ta cut ya some slack.

M: And gore.

I: And tits, so ya got even more slack.

M: We can already tell, this is going to be a good thing.

I: Namaste.
