There's really no need to introduce Terrorivision as everyone should know who they are!!! I got the chance to interview Terrorivision through Fleur(Dream Catcher/Secret Records) which was set up through the band's manager. Shortly after sending Terrorvision some questions they came back kindly answered by Shutty the Drummer.

Street Voice: First off have Terrorvision reformed since you've released a CD and DVD through Secret?

Shutty: No,that wasn't the plan. We never reformed but just got together to do a week of gigs and get one of them filmed for a live dvd as there never was one available.

Street Voice: If you have reformed who is the current line up?

Shutty: Terrorvision was always just the original line up:
Tony Wright - vocals
Mark Yates - guitar
Leigh Marklew - bass
Shutty - drums

Street Voice: Are there any plans to release any new material in 2007?

Shutty: None what so ever at all.

Street Voice: Many artists biggest complaint is when going mainstream they compromised too much. How did you feel about going mainstream? Was it a good or bad idea?

Shutty: We went mainstream ? Have you got the right band ?

Street Voice: Looking back how do you feel about music industry as a whole? What changes would you like to see so proper bands come through instead of this manufactured rubbish that's get thrown at everyone?

Shutty: The proper bands can get through i.e the bands who moan about how hard it is shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

Street Voice: Since Celebrity Big Brother is currently on TV would any of the band appear on that show or would you rather shoot yourselves?

Shutty: With a magnum 45!

Street Voice: Musically what you feel were your best moments and what are your favourite releases?

Shutty: I think our best track is "Discotheque Wreck" from our 2nd album "How to Make Friends & Influence People". I think our best album is the 3rd one "Regular Urban Survivors" and possible the most satisfying moment musically was getting to number 5 with Perseverance (1st single off said album and first time in the top ten)

Street Voice: So how did you guys all meet and did you plan on making the music that you did?

Shutty: We met through school, college and a very dirty smelly nightclub in Bradford called the Frog & Toad, which is now a roundabout!

Street Voice: Who was the label that gave you your big break?

Shutty: EMI.

Street Voice: Coming from up North you guys must like a good drink so any good drunken tour stories you'd like to share?

Shutty: Got millions of these but my personal best was when we were in LA shooting the videos for "Oblivion" and "Middleman". We had a mental evening on the piss and basically I trashed my hotel room and woke up shitting myself about how I could sort it out. Just before midday and check out time there was an earthquake and it fucked everything else in the room! How cool is that?

Street Voice: Any of the band got an opinion on our current leader? Do you see him as good or bad?

Shutty: Like we always said and with reference to question 3 ,why would anyone be interested in my political opinion ? We did rock 'n' roll quite well I think, not politics.

Street Voice: Were there any bands you'd have liked to have played with but never got the chance?

Shutty: Me personally I would love to have supported the original line up of Black Sabbath.

Street Voice: Apart from the band what do you guys get up to for a living these days?

Shutty: Tony is the singer of a band called Laika Dog
Mark is the guitarist of a band called Blunderbus
Leigh was the bass player in Malibu Stacey but they are now defunct. He is a graphic designer at present.
Shutty sells interactive whiteboards and projectors to schools!

Street Voice: Any new bands you'd like to recommend to our readers?

Shutty: The Carpenters.

Street Voice: Anything you'd like to add?

Shutty: Pepper.

Thanks to Shutty for taking time out to do this interview.

Terrorvison have recently had a Live CD and DVD released through Secret Records and both releases come highly recommended. Click on the images for more details.

No offence, but this interview is rubbish - It sounds as though it was done by someone who has never heard about TV in their life. No offence. The up side has to be that more fuss around Terrorvision = more chance of a reunion! I am currently on a one-woman mission brack back the 'Vision...

I agree it wasn't the best interview in the world but I didn't really have a lot to go on simply because of all the Terrorvison interviews that had previously taken place had asked the questions that I would have asked. Then the replies to those questions weren't particuarly interesting and I wouldn't have expected it to be any different this time around. Not knocking Terrorvision but they've moved on and doing other stuff. It is fair to say that if Secret hadn't have released the Terrorvision live CD/DVD and theb asked me if I wanted to interview then I wouldn't have gotten around to interviewing them.
