About Margate: Margate is located in Kent on the South East Coast of England. The town is around 1.5 Hrs drive from London, 40 minutes drive to/from Dover Ferry Terminal and 55 minutes drive to/from the Channel Tunnel Terminal.
The West Coast Bar/Venue: The West Coast Bar/Venue is split into three seperate connecting buildings - The West Coast Venue , the West Coast Bar and The Front Bar.
The West Coast Venue
The West Coast Venue is an intimate venue that has a comfortable capacity of 350 people and can be booked all year round for a variety of shows.
The venue is largely standing only but there is also a comfortable seating area as well as a well stocked and diverse bar.
The set up includes full PA which includes 10kw D+B C4 boxes with Soundcraft 24 Channel Console Martin Wedges Gates/Compression/Effects plus other features. Within reason, however, it can be arranged to bring in any equipment required to suit your needs.
The Sound Engineers have many years of experience between them. Eli has worked with the likes of the Specials and U2. Andy has over 30 years experience working from small venues right through to large arenas like Wembley Stadium, where he worked as a Sound Engineer on the first Live Aid concert.
Bands we've had play there include Elliot Minor, The Skatalites, Vice Squad, Conflict, Respond, The Beat, Neville Staple Specials, Fllors And Walls, Linchpin etc etc.
West Coast Bar
The West Coast Bar is a recently refurbished bar. The West Coast would be more suited to Acoustic Artists who can play to a capacity of sixty people in pleasant surroundings. Artists can be booked in on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night all year round. A full food menue is also available.
The Front Bar
The Front Bar is open to the public from spring to autumn where Caribbean and other foods can be ordered while having a drink in very relaxing surroundings. However, this bar can also be booked privately all year round and would suit DJ's out on the road. The capacity is around 100 people.
Promotion: We have experienced people to promote all events that take place at the West Coast Bar/Venue, both locally and throughout the South East.
