I love what the Suicide Girls do but never got around interviewing any until now! I came across Kip as she contacted me via My Space and the rest is history. I love what this cool Dutch lady is about so decided to interview here. Here's what she has to say.

Street Voice: Can you tell our readers a bit about yourself please?

Kip Suicide: Lovvies, my name is Kip Suicide. I am an Amsterdam based Suicide Girl, and I usually describe myself as 1/3 H2O2, 1/3 1,3,7-trimethylxhantine and 1/3 C10H14N2, as that pretty much sums me up at first glance. A kiss for the first darling who figures out what it means.

Street Voice: How and why did you get into the Suicide Girls thing?

Kip Suicide: I discovered Suicide Girls some 3 years ago when Epitaph Records released "Suicide Girls: The First Tour" DVD and I was immediately intrigued. Here was this DIY community of amazing alternative girls and dang! it was just so sexy! I felt positively compelled and wanted to know everything about it. As I was already doing alternative and glamour modeling at the time, I said to myself, Kippie, this is just so You, this merging of glamour modeling with an open minded community of individuals who have similar opinions and lifestyle. Ergo, I offered myself to SG, and they welcomed me into the fold.

Street Voice: What sort of poses are you and are you not prepared to do?

Kip Suicide: Obviously I have no issues with posing nekkid, although I would not cross my personal boundary of what I belief to be tasteful. And yes, there is explicit nekkidness in my photosets, but only as much as I am willing to show or what I belief is sexy. The choice is mine.

Street Voice: There's still many people out there including the Punk Rock scene who can't distinguish between nudity and porn so what have you got to say to these people?

Kip Suicide: Hmmm, that's a good question, darling. When all is said and done, Suicide Girls is an adult site with adult content, so yes, by common standard it is a form of soft porn. I guess if you were to ask me to put a definition on the nudity on SG, I'd say it's Erotica, sexual imagery, whereas Porn is the depiction of a sexual act. And as yummaliciously steamy as some of SG's photosets are, they are not showing the act of sex.

Street Voice: There's also been a lot of criticism about how Suicide Girls operate and how the models get treated so any opinions on this?

Kip Suicide: SG praises the girls for their individuality, it's one of the strong points of the community, this army of 1851 girls, each and every one unique in their own way, where we can be as quirky as we want and not be judged by our peers, and share our creativity and thoughts through our blogs, expressing ourselves through our photosets the themes for which are all devised and planned by us girls ourselves. So for me personally, there is nothing on the site I do not want there, everything being contributed by me freely. For everything I do and have done I have received nothing but support, SG having my back and being there for me all the way, answering my questions when I have them, or lending me a hand when I need assistance, from their model co-ordinators, to photography co-ordinators to Missy herself, and all the fabulous individuals on staff who contribute to the community. I joined knowing what it was I joined, and what I signed up for, and have never regretted a single thing.

Street Voice: How many photo shoots have you done for Suicide Girls?

Kip Suicide: My debut set went up on the site this March, and I have had to honor to also be a part of the SG collaboration with the Peta2 campaign "I'd Rather Go Naked Then Wear Fur" which featured 40 some Suicide Girls supporting the Peta cause. I might just be appearing in some forthcoming SG works, so keep your eyes peeled for that, and of course I'll be submitting more photosets for your viewing pleasure in the times to come.

Street Voice: Do you pose for any other sites, magazines etc?

Kip Suicide: My heart is with Suicide Girls, that is the only website where you can find me in all my nekkidness. Aside from that, I'm signed to a modelling agency, who book me for a variety of commercial shoots, and I also work with photographers I know and/or are friends with for various fun freelance projects.

Street Voice: I believe you also do Burlesque so what kinda tunes do you dance to?

Kip Suicide: Oh I love Burlesque, it's just the sexiest thing. It's absolutely a style I admire and in my own little tribute like to mirror in shoots for instance. I've never yet done a shimmy and shake on stage,so my public dancing is rather limited to either moshing at a punkshow, or grooving out during a Saturday night on the town, but who knows, never say never, I might just pick up my feathers one day for a bit of a show. I'm dead set to visit Club Suicide in L.A. sometime soon, and will for sure be persuaded to dance there!

Street Voice: You've got an amazing figure so do you work out much or is it all natural?

Kip Suicide: Thanks so much, darling, that's very sweet. All natural, with the help of daily bike rides in Amsterdam, pilates and the occasional swing on the dance pole I have installed in my living room.

Street Voice; There must be plenty of guys and gals wanting to date you so how's the best way to approach you in say a bar?

Kip Suicide: Haha, a contradiction as it may seem, I am actually a tidbit shy when it comes to approaching people I fancy, so I'd say the best way is simply approaching me, and strike up a conversation. Ah, without cheesy comments or lame assed one liners please. An intelligent repartee is way more sexy.

Street Voice: Aside from the Suicide Girls stuff what else do you get up to in your spare time?

Kip Suicide: In a nutshell, loving my fulltime job as a publicist, music music music!, going to shows and festivals, crazy nights on the town, hanging with friends and family, and being the occasional dork where I crawl up in pj's on the couch and devour book after book, possibly accompanied by hot cocoa and cookies.

Street Voice: Anything you'd like to add?

Kip Suicide: Come pop in darlings, and say hi to me at
www.suicidegirls.com, promise I won't bite unless you ask me to, or surf on over to www.myspace.com/kipsuicide xoxo Kip Suicide
