Current mood:  curious

Peace to everyone who came out and repped at Red Devil last night. It was a intimate joint (ie. we was bout 75 deep up in there, lol) joint but dope nonetheless. It was as of now the last show in 07 for the dynamic duo (until somebody books us, lol..) of Paulie Rhyme and Deedot. We have been going pretty hard this year, especially when it was Finless Brown, hosting, and Public Radio, so a much needed break is in order. It will probably be shortlived, but hey, that's what you sign up for.

Back to Red Devil...So overall the lineup was pretty dope. I can say that since being out here, there are alot of different flavors and each show can be so different and dope in so many different ways. Each act definately had something different to offer on the performance tip, Shred held it down on the 1s and 2s, and Audio/Inkfat & Lmntal held the hosting duties down. It was also good to be surprised by my homegirl Nikki from Cleveland who came to SF for her birthday and made it a point to come through and support. I wish Moto was there to see here, but she is off in Japan for the week. Also, it was good to see the Cleveland heads (growing in number in the Bay by the day, lol) and all my folks who saw us before and for the first time. Not to mention Choe seeing Opio walking past, then Opio coming through and kicking for like the whole show. Then Design coming through, even alittle late, but supporting nonetheless.  Cool shit.

I would say the only downside, cause we got to keep it 100 was the "intimacy" of the event. No matter how long I do this, I still am amazed by folks not getting their people to come out and support them. This is not to say that everytime we bring out 100s of people when we rock, but damn if it aint atleast a group of recognizable faces up in that piece (who aren't on the guestlist!) who are there to drink, rock with us, and support. If you are an artist and you can't bring out atleast 10-25 folks to come see you, then you might not be an artist and that's low balling the situation!!!

Now granted the weekdays are kinda crazy and what not, so at some points you will have those nights. But with there was folks on the bill that brought 0 people. That's just not cool, especially when they the first ones with they hands out. Not matter where I go and how many shows I do, I swear you rock a venue, and the cat that brings nobody is the first one with his or her hand out! Comical man, comical...

Ahh, but I digress..Thanks for the all the folks that did come out and support. We definately appreciate it 100 and will see all you chumps who stayed home or went to Madrone (lol...) or to see Keith Murray or whatever...On the next run..
