Our great friend Jon seeks roadmate with a car for '07 tour-

Hi folks. Arizona the band here. As you probably know, we're leaving tomorrow for our first national tour. We begin by opening a fistful of dates for The Slip and then jumping on the caravan with Band of Horses. We've got a SXSW gig and then we're heading off on our own tour of first ARIZONA THE STATE and then the midwest of America before heading home to New York City.

So here's the reason for this post: Our buddy Jon Ackerman, who owns the dog Gunievere (who appears at the end of WBDC and in video on our website), needs to find a way to go on the road with us. We don't have enough room in our modest touring vehicle, or we'd take the boy ourselves. Ben came up with the idea of having Jon post some adds on Craigslist seeking a nice young lady (or if he gets really desperate, a respectful young man) who has a car [a total rarity in NYC] and nothing better to do than hang out with a band on their first tour. One of the conditions he made for posting was that I also put a bulletin post out on craigslist so that I could reach out to our 8,000 friends and try to find someone that way. The deal is this: Jon doesn't have a car, but he can drive one if you have it, he can pay half the costs of the trip, and you will both get into our shows for free and maybe hang out with some of the other bands (can't speak for them).

You can check Jon out on our top friends. He's a dashing young lad who is sort of like a young Jack Nicholson meets a young Tony Almeida from 24 meets Oliver from the Charles Dickens' novel. One of the most interesting people we've ever met, as loyal as he is crafty, unique and endearing.

Great opportunity to say "f*** this shit" to mainstream life and give an energy infusion to rock and roll. Hope someone ballsy would actually be down for this.
