Famous Pigs

Many pigs have made it in Hollywood , in books and in other ways. Here's the place where I honour some of these Famous Pigs.
 

..Miss Piggy made her debut on The Muppet Show in 1976.  She's a glamourous pig who is desparately in love with Kermit the Frog. She loves lots of sparkly jewelry and feather boas.

Babe is a pig who was created by Dick King-Smith in his book, "The Sheep Pig." Babe is a young pig who is won by a farmer and who learns to herd sheep by being kind to them. The book was made into a movie in August 1995 called "Babe", and was honoured with a nomination for Best Picture at the Acadamy Awards. A sequel called "Babe: Pig in the City" followed.

..Porky Pig is the animated pig on Looney Toons. His famous line is "That's all folks!" There's also a Super Nintendo game called "Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday.

..Pippo is a pig made by Sanrio, the company that makes Hello Kitty. He is a cute pig who's Hello Kitty's friend. He lives across from the park in a small apartment and is friends with a little bird. Zashikibuta is also a Sanrio pig, but she's harder to find. She's a pig from the Netherlands . The Sanrio pig lines are no longer being produced. What a shame.

Snowball and Napoleon were two of many pigs in George Orwell's book, "Animal Farm." It is a satire about pigs who get corrupted by their power. It's not really about pigs but it's a great book.

Squealer is the Ty Beanie Baby pig. He is now retired and so he's sometimes hard to find, but he's really cute. Squealer was one of the nine original Beanie Babies. There is another pig Beanie named Knuckles, and one for the Chinese Year of the Pig.

On the Japanese cartoon RANMA 1/2 is a pig named Pecham. I found out about this pig from Orishasliz in Mexico . Thanks, Orishasliz!
