I am responding a lot to my own blog, I know, but how can I forget???

WE HAVE OUR OWN LANGUAGE/DIALECT/ACCENT!!!

It is not just a Midwestern or even a Chicago accent, but one that is distinctly our own, i.e., my Mom and lots of South Chicagoans say, 'yous' meaning you (plural); the 'th' mispronunciation was mentioned; for real, annete, and shit (etc...)  HA HA!  Now we need to start a South Chicago Dictionary, unabridged version!

Baltimore Lumber Co. is the name. Next door to...
Nickelsen's Junk/scrapyard I took all the neighbor's newspapers for money to go to...
Petro's for candy and comics. Pietruszynski's 87th commercial.
Tony's diner on the corner.
High Low Liquors cross corner/ kiddie corner.
Andy Rock's bowl was owned by Andy Rogoznicka.
Rich and Wally's Barbershop 84th and commercial.
Before it was Heinie's it was Franks for homemade dixie cup icecups.
The Daily Cal newspaper. (Calumet)
Your knuckles were rapped with a ruler by the nuns at Immaculates.

And my favorite for now...You ate mac-n-cheese with your 95th street bridge Kingfish perch every friday. And then glowed years later when Jake and Elwood jumped the bridge and Kingfish is in the background.
