Sunday, January 04, 2009
On New Year's Eve 2008, a MySpace friend wrote to me and asked:
"What can I do to help the Peace Movement?"

This was my reply:

Dear Jake

This is an age where one hero cannot conquer Evil.
Evil is a dis-ease presented to us as our fate.
Many times, it is presented to us as an illusion of goodness, so we get confused, don't free ourselves from it and be destroyed by it.
To conquer evil, each one of us must first clearly see what it is… that it is a curable dis-ease.
Then work to release us from it's power in a way we can.
Luckily, there are so many of us in the world, it is enough for all of us to do what we can do with joy, and not feel depressed that we are not doing enough.

We should first IMAGINE PEACE, since we create our destiny by first imaging what destiny we want for ourselves.
We should ask others to IMAGINE PEACE as well.
One thing that is interesting is you cannot be violent while you are imagining peace.
If all of us in the world imagined peace at all times, there will be no time for us to create dis-ease of any kind.

The next thing we should do is to ask to heal the world by asking your healing power to come out in a big way.
Your intent of healing will start to show it's power by just asking for it.
Sometimes, you will be healing a situation which is not near you, so you won't see it's effect.
But healing is being done, regardless.
Again, when all of us in the world ask the world to be healed, it will be.

Know that it is that simple.
Because all of us are one.
We affect each other right away.
We affect each other even when we are in fear, confusion, anger, and wanting to destroy the world and help to increase the dis-ease.
That's how effective we are.

Start doing what you can do.
The Universe will be affected right away as you start to think in the right way to correct the dis-ease in our world.
Start with something small.
Do one nice thing a day.
Call your mom and tell her you are thinking of her.
Look at the tree and admire it's beauty in words and in action.
Send a message to your friend what you respect about her/him.
Send your message through the internet how you love life and why..well, that's big!
If you keep doing that for three months you will see the difference in your life.

Be creative.
Do what you can do.
By that, you will be starting the wheels of goodness to turn.

Lots of love,
yoko

I read your words and I can hear your voice in my thoughts and you bring such peace of mind to me! Just imagine if we all concentrate on displacing negativity and replacing it with positivity in our own minds.

I am going to call my mom now!

You stated it well FunkY, I resolved to do the opposite of my normal and see the glass as half full instead of empty in all situations. Yoko serves as an example in this for she has always dwelled on the message of John regardless of the way he died. No pity no sorrow!! celebrate your blessings and time with Love, spread more that you may experience more!!

sometimes is all seems so overwhelming. You just wanna give up and say...I'm just one little person. What can I do? Well we are all pieces in life in the huge puzzle aren't we? Each little piece must fit. So do what you can
IMAGINE PEACE and the puzzle will go together in perfect order. With God our creator in the center.
Thank you Yoko for your thoughts. I will make my puzzle piece fit.

It's a matter of personal choice. Do you want to live your life-as short as it is (of which John serves as an example) wallowing in misery and anger or do you want to try and make it the best it can be and find beauty in little things and nurture the tree and your relationships?

In the case of the film I am writing (which includes one of John's Beatles songs and a remake of the song) the choice is made by two people to find the positive in each other.

CUTTING CONFESSIONS-the bizarre funny and fate driven love story between an abused and artistically talented Beverly Hills girl and a Minnesota man-another, but different One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest-set in Beverly Hills, Pasadena, Lake Havasu and the Las Vegas Strip-see my MySpace blogs and:

Thank you, and I do now, apologize...as the dis-ease within my own spirit, and soul, and brain, and all of who I used to be, was being cured, and dis-ease free...I stomped and shouted and whined, quite a lot...on myspace...and to my one true, and my only God, 'why o! why! I am too blanc, to alone, to afraid of the coming storme...too demented, via the brain injury, incurred via an automobile accident of 5 August 2008...why God why? To be a woman of Islam, in America, today...too white, I am that also...well, God! I am so afraid!..." Too bad I say...and am still, quite afraid, but no longer for myself, but for a young boy, a Palestinian, my grand-nephew, with eyes too blue living in a war zone, a woman, I once knew, as my elder sister, sent him back to live there...she did...and no, I only hold, still, the deepest desire for true and lasting peace, for all of God's creatures, regardless of what name they choose to call Him as....and yes, I still see, the beauty also, in all things...a snow falling, just now, as I type, beautiful in its shimmer, falling so lightly in the bright Colorado sunshine...and my greatest wish, would be only that, my grandnephew, could be by my side, safe and sound, and watching the snow fall with me...so, even in our moments of great peace and imagining...it is also, still beautifully, and tragically, bittersweet........

I love you, and thank you...you are also a great hero of mine.

Best regards,
Margaux Clarinsdottir

With much Love Yoko. xxoo.

Thank you for sharing this.

Much Love, Respect and Blessings. Keeping Life's heart beating as it is mean't to be.

Why do we fall amongst material existence when we are born? There is no documented need of material existence to be born and in exit of our life all material matter is left behind.

So why in this world....is it being over run on a materialistic existence?

Perhaps we could all stay if we realised that material matter only weighs us down, stunts our soul and growth to the path we all should be.

Enjoying the beauty of life, love, Peace and Harmony. A paradise here for all.

Let's keep a candle lit to heal our Planet and hold endless love and light. xx To join in and support your Great Light Creation at Iceland and all keep thinking and Imagining Peace around the World for all Life's Beauty and being.

Blessings and Love Yoko.

Thank you for your inspiring words. My shrink once told me that whatever I wanted to become, pretend or imagine that and in time, it will come to be. It works. Surely, this will work for Peace if we all realize that we truly are one.

But for now, all we can do is do our 'one' part. Others will follow by an example well presented.

Love and Peace, Margaret

How about this one...being nice to people who don't like you disarms them, if you view your "enemys" as VICTIMS of propaganda, war, and politics, it goes a long way towards a positive change. Also this; if I believe in change, I have to be willing to change myself. Dylan said it real well in the song "the Times they are a Changing". Find something to like in the other person! One of the things that stopped the war in Vietnam was former military people, telling the truth about the atrocities and horror they had witnessed. When people on both sides of any conflict do this, the truth as to the WHY of the situation becomes obvious and things change. That's why Amnesty International is so important to me! And habeas corpus...habeas corpus, to me, was the first step europe took towards true democratic processes. You and John were always inspirational to me; this continues to be true!

Peace is 5 letters, 1 syllable, much used - and much abused.

Yoko you are right Peace is about what we do and how we treat those around us, if we strike out then the other person will strike back, its like a universal language - but you don't have to follow it.

Your the beacon Yoko, make 2009 the year when the word peace means much more then 5 words and 1 syllable - it should mean all those things you wrote about....

Peace & Happiness

Hi Yoko: Imagine peace! Yes, such a simple thought....and your right, that is all it takes to convey peace and non- violence to the masses or violent acts caused by the individual....The Pen has always proven to be mightier than the sword and you have proven it again....Thanks so much for the endless effort of peace and luv...We have always tried to practise it and it will eventually prove to be the norm of the day...

I know I'm doing all I can to help the movement. It's my goal in life to see that no one need live in fear of tomorrow. Recently I e mailed the "War Is Over" poster to friends the world over. We all put them up everywhere we could. I've also put up two new songs on you tube and ovation tv,
"World Without War" and "How Many Children Have To Die". They are being watched, so that's getting the word out to some. All of you could help me with that, on both sites it's johnlysle and put the titles. Watch the videos, if you agree, pass them on. I won't make a dime for it. It's all in hope of a better world.
