So I have now seen 2 movies this summer that actually allowed me to have a fun movie-going expierence.

I hate to say that Rise of the Silver Surfer was one of them.  I'm sorry, the first film, while I watch it all the time it's on HBO, it's not a good comic book movie, or a good comic book turned movie. (I feel there is a difference, a comic book made into a 'movie' like Spider-man 1 or 2, and Batman Begins, etc.) or there is a comic book movie.  Sorta jokey, campy, but tons of fun.  For me, the first film didn't fall into either category.  The best parts of the movie were either the chemistry by The Torch and The Thing, and the final fight at the end of the movie, the first time the team works together, with their powers.

The second film is loads above the first film, and is nothing but fun.  They mess a lot of fun stuff for us comic book fans, but I'm not crying too hard.  Not really at all.  And maybe because I set my expectations so low that it has effected how well the film was for me, but really? I was grinning as much as I was, enjoying myself, like I was with Ocean's 13. It was just a fun movie.

There are flaws, but there are equally some great stuff.

I again wanted to draw another D4K page, but... yet again, and prolly spurred by the fact that I REALLY want to get the poster done too, for some reason I am afraid I am going to totally skip out time-wise and screw myself, I began to work on it some more.  While I began drawing The Invisible Girl first, half-way through the general pencil test, I realized that I totally need to get a good grip on what the image is going to look like.  And so.... I drew this.

Nate = The Torch
Ashley = The Invisible Girl
Charlie = The Surfer
Nick = The Thing
Jimmy = Mr. Fantastic

And I also completed Ashley as The Invisible Girl. Well, not fully completed. But I have her right where I really want her per se, and I really tried a few different things which ended up not going into the final image below, but... it works, I think.

I may try to work on Mr. Fantastic Next as he is more difficult in my mind's eye to draw... that is, of course, if I can get around trying to actually draw the next few D4K pages...
