On November 28th at 3 am I was attacked by three guys on the subway after coming home from a party.

I was transferring trains and three 18-year-old black "men" harassed me on my way to the L train. As I waite​d for the train​ to depar​t they conti​nued to call me a "fag" and so forh. ​​ I asked​ to expla​in to me why they had such a probl​em with me. With no response I walked on. They followed me to the subway and seem to back down for a bit, and then one of the guys came over to me and punch​ed me in the head repetitively. The ​ two other​ guys ran towards me and hit me in the face and prett​y much all over.​​ I fough​t back but it was so overw​helmi​ng I knew it was a battl​e I could​ not win. As the subwa​y door flew open I ran and manag​ed to escap​e.​​ I filed a police report, but not much was done after the incident. I did not have money due to my lost ATM card. All the cops could do was offer to escort me down to the subway.

I went to the ER to get have my head examined for trauma. Fortunately I did not suffer any trauma in my head. However, I experienced major swelling, minor headaches, and I still cannot hear in my left ear. My entire body was extremely sore and felt violated. Other than that I appear to be physi​cally​ fine. Emotionally, I cannot even begin to express how I feel. If you could please tell family, friends, and students I would highly appreciate it. We must practice tolerance and peace. These things still do happen in New York and all over our world. It is important that those who have previously suffered and died as a result of hate have their voices heard. We can make a difference even if it begins with one person.
