I'm getting really confused about this borrowing vibe that we are enacting for the UK tour. Mayhem just sent me all the details and I left it all at home. I am dictating this blog from the local hi fi shop. The reason I am in the local hi fi shop is because while in the car, stationary at traffic lights, someone started knocking on the window at me. I opened the window to the man telling me one of my headphones had been trapped in the door and was dragging on the road outside the car. After around 4 miles through north London it had become burnished in texture with only a few bare wires showing where the drivers should have been. I need new headphones

Anyway here is Mayhem to describe to you the borrowing setup. Depth....

We are going to borrow fans from one gig to the next. Yes, really.

We can't do it at every gig, because we have our own hangovers to consider, But we're gonna do it in Glasgow, Birmingham, Newcastle and Nottingham.

If you're coming to one of these gigs and you want to be up for a chance to do this you need to bring something to the show for Mike to borrow. He'll choose his favourite thing/item of clothing whatever, and take it on stage that night. If you see him with your stuff on stage, you've won. You and a friend of your choice will come party with us, we'll sort you out to get to the gig the next day, get you somewhere to sleep and then send you home.

In order to identify the owner of the item that Mike's borrowed, you need to email me in advance at beatstevie@mac.com with a photo. The photo needs to be of you and the item you're lending. Do this at least a day before the gig in question. Then don't forget to bring the thing to the gig and we'll give it to Mike to choose (the winner will not be selected until then). All the items will be redistributed to their lenders at the end of the show, Mike won't see the photos, just the items on the day. So don't be creative with the photos, just make sure we can see your face and the thing you're lending him...

Beat Stevie will be collecting the items at the front of the venue by the merch stand before the show, but you will not be entered unless you email in advance. Oh, and you must be over 18.
