Sorry to do the multiple address email thing but this is actual a relevant and important issue and one where you can help in two seconds. PEPFAR is funding for AIDS drugs, healthcare, etc across the globe. The program has been extremely successful. The funding is in danger of not being renewed. Click on the link and add your name to the petition. If you really feel like doing something, cut and paste this and email to a few friends who may not have heard about the this bill or don't know how they can support it.

Having been to Tanzania and visited AIDS clinics which would not exist without PEPFAR money and talked with people who would unquestionably be dead without this program I can personally attest to the fact that this a US govt program which is not only functional but also working to repair our image abroad and—even more—I believe is genuinely noble. Any way you look at it, your tax money is going to make sick people well and keep dying people alive.
