Current mood:  handsome
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
I almost killed my computer. It was the scariest moment... i realized it was moving a bit slow, and then i was trying to download Gossip Girl on iTunes, and something strange happened. It said my "start disc" was full. It felt like a bad thing, so i went to the mac store and the dude FrEaKeD out at me and said this was indeed a bad thing. We organized a few bits and what have you's, and i am up and running again, but this is NOT GOOD! i am pretty sure i'm going to have to start touring with an external hard drive now. I have too much music he tells me, which i of course think is a completely ridiculous statement.
So that's where i'm at, kids... that is where. i'm. at.

In other GREAT news, my song "I'll Cry For The Both of Us" will be in the upcoming film "The Women"! I will also be on the soundtrack- also on the record- Feist, Annie Lennox, The Bird & The Bee, KT Tunstall, Lucy Schwartz, Goldfrapp and more. The fact that my song is going to be in a Meg Ryan film, puts me into giggling hysteria... and to be a part of something that is all women, all the time- that feels good too :) It comes out next Friday, the 12th, so get your girls together and check it out. I actually was able to see it a few months ago and i really loved it.

Will check in again soon...

much love to you,
jess

Sweetie, I know what you mean about computer problems. That's enough to drive anyone crazy, but you have to have one. Get you the biggest hard drive you can find and just hook it up and be done with it. You do NOT want to lose all that good music. And for you... CONGRATS! You are a beautiful woman, as well as a great musical artist. They should also put you in the film, not just singing. I'm so proud of you and love to hear of the many ways you continue to get out there and be known. I just got a new phone and found out I can get you on my ringtone - way to go, AT&T!

What is this too much music thing? I do not understand it..... LOL There's no such thing as too much music.

Well, my old pc finally flipped me off and I had to go get a new one. Hooray for technology.

Hey Baylin, hows it going?
Congrats on the movie deal thats sweeeeeet.

Anyhow as far as your drive being full. I tell this to people all the time at my work if you have anything really important that you do not wanna lose ever like touring photos or somethin like that back it up on a DVD or two and put it away somewhere. Same with anything else you really dont want to lose. You know the DVD isn't going to break unless you step on it or somethin silly like that. The hard drive or the external hard drive always has the possibility of having some sort of mechanical failure and if you have to take it to a data recovery place they usually charge around a thousand bucks a drive or a lot more. Sometimes even those places can't get it back. In that case your SOL.

Fair play having your song played in the movie. Looking forward to seeing that movie. I smiled when I saw that you're listening to Bon Iver. We used to play that to our baby daughter to help her off sleep. Hope you get the music sorted out for when you're touring. A hard drive aint to practical when you're on the road.
