expect to see me playing a lot of this in 2009...

my long haired lover surprised me with this one, and i pretty much broke down when i saw it. It sounds like electric sex on strings. You will hear it so soon :)

i hope you all had a bloody fabulous new year. i had gotten all of my partying ways out of my system in St Barths the week before, so i took NYE as a night to just sit back, sip champagne, light fireworks, and go to bed early. it was perfect for me.

was it perfect for you? are ready for this new year?

i am. i have to be. its a clean slate, and lord knows i need this. i have been at a major cross roads lately, and i've made a lot of decisions in my heart and in my head. i am beginning to write the next record. i don't know how long it will take me, but i'm not worried about that. i just want it to feel right. to sound right. for it to be honest, as evermore. i'm about to go on the road again, for a month. I really hope that i get to see loads of you out there, because its always nice to see a familiar face.

happy new year & i'll see you in a few.

love love love love,
jessie

ps.
there's a mouse in my house, and i'm scared.

on the road for a month? I don't suppose you'd consider coming over to the UK, would you?

Oh my! I'm not sure why having a mouse in the house is scary but it is!
Nothing worse than hearing those little things crawling around at night when you're trying to sleep. AAHHH!
The new album will come in time. I'm suuuppppeeeerrrr stoked but I know patience is the key to all understanding....right? Not sure how well that applies to this but we'll use it.
Please please please come back to Nashville and play for me this year. I will soooo be there with bells on! ;-)

Lots o' XOXO,
Samantha

That is one BEAUTIFUL guitar - the man knows how to buy a present!!
Mega excited for the new record no matter how long it takes!
May I suggest a show in Dublin as a New Years resolution? It won't be any warmer than it was when you last visited nd if anything it will probably rain more but it'd be sooo worth it!!
Tuck your trousers into your socks nd you'll be safe from your rodent intruder! X

mouse? get a kitty baby! i had a nice quiet new year as well, but it was nice. now that i'm in the northeast, you will have to play northhampton, ma! they would love you there, as i would too. :) hope your writing flows smoothly, as i know it will. with lots in life, as you have now, creativity prospers. i have so many people here to turn on to you, but your beautiful music makes that easy. thank you jessie, for making my 2008 tunefully fuller. seeing you live in atl was fabulous, so i patiently await the next fabulous show!

much love,
~ maggie ~

That's an awesome guitar. I just bought a Fender American Strat. It's pretty close to heaven to just sit back, play, and listen to the sweet sounds coming from it. I love my PRS, but I had forgotten how much I missed the sound of a Strat.

awwwww that's such a beautiful guitar. i want to hear the electric sex on strings!! congratulations, dear.

happy new year!!! i spent my new years eve baking cinnamon raisin bread and pumpkin roll at one of my best friend's houses. just the two of us, it was nice girl time. and then we fell asleep on the couch watching the history channel. haha i need a clean slate as well so i know what you mean. i'm very excited to start a new year fresh!

oh my gosh. a mouse in the house is TERRIFYING. i don't know why but my imagination goes crazy with the possibilities of what could happen with a critter in the house especially while you sleep. make your man be a man and get that thing out!!!! haha

too bad i don't get to see your face soon. :(
have fun on tour especially with that new guitar.

hope you are doing amazingly well!!

love,
rachel

ps i got my wisdom teeth removed 3 days before xmas. it was the most terrible experience of my life. picture here--> http://www.flickr.com/photos/krisan/3143189326/ i was so terribly swollen.

Hope to see you near Louisville, KY Jessie...

P.S. I hate mice...UGH...We had an infestation at work one year and it freaked me out. I just don't like rodents.

I am glad you got off to a good start. 2008 was some odd kind of transitional year for so many people.

My motto is EVERYTHING IS JUST FINE IN 2009, and GREAT THINGS AWAIT IN 2008- and while great things happened, much struggle for so many...So I think 09 better mellow the F**K out!:-)

Good luck wtih the new strings, yet you need no luck music wise- you are so talented.

Can't wait to see ya live again:-)
Many Blessings,
Lori

you are a lucky girl... my husband bought the candy red version of this guitar with a retro fender amp to celebrate the birth of our first baby a couple of years back. He's too scared to play it though in case it gets scratched! Hope you are making progress with the new material. Blessings to you and yours X x
