*The band played to a packed Crystal Palace on March 22. While my ego would love to think that it was Sacred Cowboys that filled the joint, truth is Big House are like the Beatles in Bakersfield. Being big Deadwood fans, they reunited for a "one time only" show. However, it went so well, don't be surprised if we all do it again in the future.

We next play Cain's on the beach in San Diego, April 13.

Still in Label Limbo, we decided to go ahead and press copies of "Hard Country" album and the "Deadwood Hoedown" single for sale at shows. My buddies at Sirius Outlaw Country have been playing some of our songs. It's always cool to hear your songs on the radio.

*I'm doing a tv sitcom pilot for FOX titled, THE MINISTER OF DIVINE with Kirstie Alley. We shoot April 9-19. It is the American remake of a huge British hit, THE VICAR OF DIBLEY.

*In the "I can't really believe my life has come to this" dept -- I spent last weekend in Vegas with my wife. First we took in Elton's show at Ceasars. We then hung out with Billy, Dusty, and the ZZTop crew Saturday afternoon before the show that night. Afterward, we get invited to Prince's late night show at the Rio. Elton's Greatest Hits was the first album I ever bought with my own money. ZZ's Eliminator was THE soundtrack to the summer Carrie and I started dating (I listened to it incessantly). Prince was/is Carrie's all time favorite artist, for her 16th birthday in 1983 I bought her his entire catalog. Guests of Elton, ZZ Top & Prince -- somebody pinch me...

*Still no word on the DEADWOOD movies. At this juncture, they've yet to move beyond the catagory of mere rumor.
