Denise in Indiana is the most recent person to ask me "When do the new Office shows come back on?" The new episodes begin on Thursday September 21st. We are at a new time 8:30pm/7:30pm Central.
Greg Reynolds from Long Beach, California wrote "Can you tell us any info about the Office Season 2 DVD release?"
The Season 2 DVD release date is September 14th. There are a lot of great special features including commentaries and never-before-seen extra footage.
We are currently in the middle of shooting our second episode of the new Season. You may have seen the press release announcing new cast members. Well, its true. We have some new blood in Scranton. Ed Helms from "The Daily Show" and Chip Esten from "Whose Line is it Anyway" have joined the ranks at Dunder-Mifflin. Another new hire, Rashida Jones. If you hadn't noticed, we have a lot of dudes on our set so the ladies are pretty happy to have another woman around. In addition to being very talented, Rashida is a cool chick. And, we need the estrogen.
Something else that has the ladies excited - John Krasinski got even hotter over the summer. I'm not sure what he's been doing but the women around here are drooling. We might have to call him Salesman McDreamy. Also in hot overdrive is David Denman. And, don't get me started on B.J. Novak's big blue eyes and cute new haircut. On the flipside - Angela, Kate, Phyllis, Mindy and I couldn't feel drabber in our Officewear. After seeing one another in our street clothes all summer it is quite a shock to be back in panty hose and polyester. Kate is especially hip in real life. It is very funny to see her wearing her Meredith outfit of prairie skirts with an elastic waistband. But the one that is freaking me out the most is Brian Baumgartner. In real life he's very cool and smooth so to see him looking and acting like Kevin is freaking me out. I'm actually confused.
I've heard a lot of rumors about plot twists for the new Season but this one might be my favorite. Diana from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada found it on an NBC message board:
"I just found out from a super secret source that works for CBS that the first episode of season three will be have a huge plot twist. The twist: Due to a mix-up at birth, Jim and Pam are siblings. That's right. They are biologically related."
I obviously can't reveal what happens in Season 3, but this isn't "Passions". I feel it is safe to say that Pam and Jim are not siblings. And, you should know - NBC can be very sneaky about how it keeps plot points a secret. So, I wouldn't take rumors too seriously.

On a personal note, it is nice to be home. It is funny the things you miss when you are on the road. For example, I really like my bed. It is very comfy and nothing quite compares. It also helps that my husband is in it :) And, the dog. And, the cat. The only thing that is better than the four of us snuggled in bed is when the four of us are snuggled on the couch watching TV. (The all-time best being the four of us snuggled watching American Idol.) The jet-setting actress lifestyle is fun for about a week. Then, its nice to be home.
