Who Gives Kudos:

Monday, March 20, 2006

You probably noticed that Dwight's MySpace page has been removed.  Rainn Wilson is out-of-town shooting a movie and found himself overwhelmed with friend requests and emails and just couldn't keep up.  He loved his MySpace experience and was torn.  Rather than let it go unattended or let it be run by someone else, he decided to shut it down.  Sorry guys!  Maybe we can get him back again when we go back to work on the show and have to sit at our computers all day.

That's the scoop.

In other news...I'm leaving Montreal.  I'm finished with the Montreal part of the movie shoot.  The rest takes place in LA.  I loved Montreal...and it's not just because I won money at the casino.  It is an amazing city.  Thanks for all your tips on places to visit.  I went to a lot of them actually.

Now, I'm off to St. Louis for a special hometown screening of Slither.  I haven't had time to update my friend requests and comments but hopefully I can catch up next week sometime!

Well, at least I know Dwight wasn't purposely ignoring my emails, phone calls, letters, flower arrangements, and marriage proposals. Just a simple case of huge popularity. I can sleep sound tonight.

Also, I am a huge fan of the show. My husband kept talking about your new movie and it didn't click until just now... I am slow. Sorry.

The sad thing is...I really hadn't noticed that Dwight was gone. Now that I think about it, I didn't see him on my full friends pages...this is depressing.

We're glad you're still on here though.

St Louis is my second home. Have fun. It rocks. There are some great bands that play down there. Make sure to hit the Global Food Market in Kirkwood. They have some awesome food you can't get anywhere else, it seems like. Have a great time.

I wasn't one of his 'friends' but I heard it was very popular..I guess everyone secretly likes the annoying guy at work. That Dwight..he must be too busy hanging out in the supply closet. Um..hey where' Angela?

P.S. My office is very jealous of your office's paper shredder. I'm surprised there have been no episodes (hint, hint) of workplace accidents (or important docs destroyed that had to be pieced together again by everyone in the office--it happens all the time...).

Joining myspace late, Rainn probably had a zillion requests all at once, like 8000 of your friends bombarded him with requests all at once (i definitely did).  It would probably be a long couple of weeks but after that it wouldn't be as bad.  This doesn't make it look hopeful for John/Jim to join myspace.

Good to know your movie is going well.

Jenna, if you EVER shut down your page...

We would have to rely solely on ANGELA for inside information! And you know...from her we only get the waspy Christian point of view on the whole situation.

I love your trailer! It looks like a great movie and I'm going to find a way to get my parents to buy it for me. Ehehehehe....

Welp, the St. Louis screening will be my second viewing of Slither.  Yes, it is the type of movie that you'll want to see again.  During the first screening, I found myself wishing I had a pause/rewind button.  Yep, there are that many yummy things to chew on.  For those of you expecting a crazy horror movie, you'll be pleased.  HOWEVER, I am also happy to report that fans of The Office will have plenty of opportunities to laugh your ass off.

Have a bitch'n Monday!

Adam

Please pass on my most sincere apologies for his decision to take down his page.  It's too bad MySpace doesn't have an option for "Vacation" which would automatically deny any new requests/comments/etc until said user comes back from "Vacation".  I wish him the best of luck in his new movie and look forward to the last few new episodes of The Office for this season and new episodes next season!

That sounds like fun. And Nathan Fillion and Gregg Henry are in Slither! Do you and James work with people from Firefly a lot or is this your first time? (Why am I asking questions I know you wont repsond to?) Anyway, poor Dwight and being famous and all. Its a rough life, I'm sure. Oh! I ordered your DVD. I can't wait to see it.

Can't wait to see Slither.  Great luck on the premiere.  Have a blast.  You and James are really inspiring.  I was telling this friend of a friend about it last night over cigars and he is psyched to see it.  His wife's family is from Africa and she has an aunt that--when they visited last year--tried to give her bread to the villagers when it wasn't their turn to eat.  (A traditional order had to be observed, but she refused to comply with it.  Like her bread was making this huge difference.)  It reminded me of "Jenna" from Lollilove and when I told him the story he said he was going to rent it as soon as he got home.

'Bring Your Daughter To Work Day' was excellent.  This guy Adam, who is British, had never seen the American version and that one hooked him as well.

Bringing in the converts,

J.

Dwight's space goes away before I even know it's there! Bummer, I'm still new to MySpace & I'm trying to finagle my way around. I'll be able to find him when he comes back.

And have fun in St. Louis! Chicago's screening was so much fun! Conventions are opening my eyes to so much, it's awesome!

How do I send kudos? I wanted to send you kudos! Eh, I'll figger this whole komputr thing out someday!

Dwight, my hero, love of my life, without you I have lost the will to live!!

But seriously, Rainn is truly awesome for keeping such a close relationship with his fans for as long as he did. Whenever I was online, I saw his little "online now" icon, so I know that he always tried responding to as many fans as he could and read what everyone had to say.  I sent him an e-mail once and he replied, which made my week.  I'm kind of disappointed that the e-mail is now gone too :(  But anyways, I'm assuming he didn't want any fans feeling left out if he couldn't respond to them, so that's nice.

Shout out to Rainn if he reads this.  You're name is sexy and I love the unnecessary extra "n".

How'd you like coming back to town in the wake of a snow storm? I just got back from Miami last night and was sorely disappointed. I had to postpone my drive back to school. Missouri weather, oy.

Dear Jenna,

Angela already told us.  But maybe you can talk Rainn & John into doing a blog together.  And using fill-ins when they get too busy.

And could you please join:

The NBC Office Fanclub

to fill in the void we have since Rainn left.

That is all!

Well Jenna, When the rest of you get too busy, I hope you'll have somebody keep up for you instead of just dumping us!

Or are you "really" Jenna????  You've been reaaly busy, too.

But real or not, just stay with us, OK?

That is all.

Boo hoo!!  Well, tell Rainn that we still love him anyway, even if he's being a big snob! Just kidding!  About the snob part only... the love part is real.   If closing down his space means that there's a great movie with him in the cast in the works, then we should all be thrilled, right?

My dad's side of our family is from St. Louis originally, though most of them live elsewhere now!  Have fun and go up in the arch for me if you get a chance - I last visited it when I was about 3 or 4.

Can't wait to see Slither.
