Gotcha, didn't I? With the stupidest title pun ever!

I am a fan of "Sex and the City." Maybe the only heterosexual man in the country to admit so, but so be it. Here is why...

- The show is a well written farce. It never took itself too seriously (and I think that may be the flaw of the film, we'll see. My 4:45p tickets are burning a whole in my soul) and it always had a soap opera-ish storyline that really held true to the obstacles that women face when balancing a career and relationships (although they always seem to have time for both).

The creators of the show have a wicked sense of humor and an empathy towards both sex and the city.

- Strong women. Except for Charlotte, all the women in the show were portrayed as independent and strong. I love strong women, I've always associated with them (in more ways than even the possibilities allow. Hoo-Ha!), I've always admired them. And the gals (excepting Charlotte, who was a bit of a token) had fun, drank a lot, had great careers and great senses of humor via their writers.

One of my favorite lines was on a repeat I caught a couple weeks back (Robin watches them, I don't like repeats anymore). Charlotte had never looked at her private parts, which leads Samantha to asking Carrie (Sarah Jessica P) how often she looks. She replies, rightfully, "how did I get involved?"

- I could care less about the fashion, which for some seems to be 90% of the show, when in reality it is what they wear as characters, which has nothing to do with the lines/situations. I don't know many women over 35 who can still wear those high heels anyway, at least for whole night. If there ever was a shoe style invented by men, it's the high heel.

- Finally, a tidbit. I coined a term in relationship to the show. "Doing it Carrie Style" refers to the practice of having sex with a bra on. This relates to Sarah Jessica P., who stipulated in her "Sex" contract that she would not do nudity (I guess as not to show her implants. Debate). all the rest of the characters have done nude. SJP does it "Carrie Style."

To end this, my favorite joke about SexAndTC was on "Family Guy." Stewie, watching the show, asks, "So it's a show about three hookers and their mom?"

Only a true SATC watcher could appreciate that.

POINT.AFTER

Google Abraham Lincoln loves "Doing it Carrie Style..."

From www.cyberpathway.com, "I See Me!" personalized children's books (it does it Carrie Style!) -

"Sometimes Carrie would find some of that money in between the cushions of her family's living room couch. Sometimes it was lying on the ground to and from her way to Abraham Lincoln Elementary School, where she was still in the third grade."
