Ladies and Gentlemen, I will begin by saying that Omen is the last Half Makeshift album.  I will not be recording any new material and there won't be anymore material released (if so it is without my permission).  I'm sure you are all wondering why this is.  Well back in January there was a period of three days where I saw something that not just made me uneasy, but scared the crap out of me.  I saw the public denial of God presented to huge audiences.  Normally I wouldn't care.  I was brought up in a Christian home and went to church until my father decided that it really was the end of the church age and that it was time to leave.  Shortly after I stopped doing the Bible studies he had for us and just did whatever I wanted.  He wasn't mad, but he told me to keep my ears open to what was going on in the world.  He believed that 2011 was the final year of the world, but I didn't care.

Now what does this have to do with the end of Half Makeshift?  Well I have recently begun studying the Bible.  There are huge studies on this that can be found at www.familyradio.com and a nice summary of what I believe is going on right now can be found here: http://www.familyradio.com/graphical/literature/waat/waat_temp.html .  I am only starting to scratch the surface of it all, but everything that I am reading in the Bible and with these studies locks into place completely.  There is no doubt in my mind that we are in the time of the Final Tribulation and that God has left the church completely.  There are only about three years left as the day of the Rapture has been figured out to be May 21, 2011 and that is followed by a 153 day period (exactly 5 months Rev. 9:5) of Hell on Earth.  The story of Noah lines up perfectly with this.  The Flood took place in 4990 BC and in Gen. 7:4 God tells Noah he has 7 days to get into the Ark before the destruction of the world.  In II Peter 3:6-7 God relates the flood to Judgment day and in verse 8 God says that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Interestingly enough the flood happened 7,000 years from 2011!  (4990 + 2011 – 1 = 7,000)  [Subtract 1 because there is now year 0]  Put this all together and God was not only telling Noah he had 7 days to get into safety, but he is also telling his elect that they have 7,000 years before the end of the world!  This is only one of the details that points to 2011 as being the very end.

This may not seem to have anything do with the end of my music project but it comes down to this: basically I have no time for Half Makeshift now.  The world will end in 2011.  There is far more Biblical proof than what I have just said and everyday something new is discovered.  I will not be selling my copies of Omen.  I will not be selling any copies of anything that I have previously released either.  To do that would only help everyone who doesn't know what is going on to live in ignorance until it is too late.  Do your own research.  Read the Old King James as it is the closest to the original Hebrew and Greek that the Bible was originally written in.  This is not a joke and there are no apologies for this.  There are 1,144 days left on Earth from the day I'm writing this (March 3 2008).

I am not on drugs, I have been researching this for a while and there are many other people who have been for far longer than I have. There is so much more evidence than the little bit I posted. If you're interested I highly recommend reading through the second link I posted.

The church is not the place to look for any sort of correct answer. In fact most of the Bible's avaiable are translated incorrectly or tempered with my men to meet their own personal and incorrect preferences. The only way to ther the complete truth is to read in the original Hebrew and Greek, or translate it yourself.

Eh, okay... but if - by some freak accident - the world should happen to move on into 2012, will you promise to pick up where you leave it now? "Apothic Leech" rocks! The best of luck to you man!

I don't think it is implausible that the world could end in 2011, I mean just look around, just really look. The thing that bothers me about the above statement is that you make it out like the Bible is the only source indicating that an end is near, when in fact the Mayan calendar also predicted the end of the world in 2012 (which is 2011 if you count the year 0). In Hinduism many believe we are approaching the end of the Kali Yuga, and traditional Hopi eschatology also predicts a radical change about to take place. Don't be so narrow as to only focus on the Bible. Christianity isn't the only religion out there.

I've looked around me for the past several years and everything I've seen is screaming GAME OVER. I've looked at other religions, other beliefs and opinions, but everything that I've found always revolves some how around self betterment. Every other religion is made by humans and humans are flawed by their own lusts for instant gratification. The Bible teaches that humans can't save themselves from anything no matter what they do. Even the nicest act is tainted with sin and it is only by God's mercy that a person's eyes are opened and they are saved (THIS IS COMMONLY OPPOSED BY THE CORPORATE CHURCH). I guess one reason this is making sense to me is because I have seen a church crumble with my own eyes. Not that it was blown up or anything, it's still going along full steam, but it removed itself from the doctrines of the Bible just like is prophesied all through the Old and New Testament. 2 Thessalonians 2:3 says "...for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first..."

Now look at every other religion. You have Buddhists, Muslims, etc. How solid are they in their beliefs? Are they moving away from what they believe? No, they're getting stronger in their beliefs.

Christianity founded on the basis that the Bible is the pillar of the truth. It is God who gives his elect faith, and God who has all the authority, not some sort of organized church. But just the other day I saw in the New York Times that the Pope gave a speech that was "...a reminder to the flock that 'obedience' to the authority of the church, even in a country that prizes individual freedom, is the foundation of their religious faith." What more proof do you need that Christians have removed themselves away from the Bible completely?

Another, and I'll make this my final thought for the evening, interesting observation is how many different denominations there are. You would think they would have gotten curious about each others faith and gotten together to solidify what really is true and make sure they weren't teaching a false doctrine; instead, no such thing has happened for the 1,955 years that the church was used by God. Interesting that you brought up being open minded as almost every Christian you will run into is incredibly close minded about what the Bible actually says about Judgment and Salvation. There is comfort insecurity, but if a person is driven to learn the truth, they will find the truth is very uncomfortable, often times very confusing, and very sad. But there is nothing that can be done to change it. The book has been written and a person can either do the research and make sure that everything I have ever said and that has ever been said is true according to the Bible, or one can just chose to ignore it. I already know most people won't give it a second glance. There are 1,123 days left before it is too late.

Well a few things to keep in mind here...First of all, not every Christian in America voted for Bush. That's just a ridiculous over generalization. Second, it doesn't matter who is leading any country in the long run because it's all going to be over! I keep saying, do the research! You'll find that the elections are just another distraction that's going to be over soon enough. Most of the Christians in the world don't believe you can learn everything from the Bible that we've discovered. This topic is covered extensively in the Bible! You obviously feel passionate about you hatred for religion (maybe Christianity more than others?), instead of completely dismissing it, why not look into different these topics, then base your arguments off of what you learn whether you agree with it or not? You want to question authority, but you haven't looked to understand that authority and how can you argue against something you don't understand and expect it to hold water?

I've heard from a lot of people who feel the way you do and I can definitely understand it. I was in the same boat for years. I will say that I haven't read every book out there, I haven't got the time. Of course this opens the doors for plenty of people to dismiss what I've posted all together, but I can't change that and I'm not going to try. I'm sure plenty of people believe I just opened the Bible up, looked at a few verses and said, "Yup, 2011 it is." But I have yet to have read a book in the Bible that doesn't talk about the falling away of the church or the end and everything points to 2011. I mean numbers upon numbers and dates upon dates. The Bible was written within a span of 500 or so years and the fact that everything is cohesive and makes perfect harmony when put together can't possibly be a coincidence after you've looked at all the information that points to the exact same year and the exact same day. You don't have to believe it if you don't want to, I can't change your mind, but the evidence is there and it's all over the world today. Just go into a church and tell me it isn't totally corrupt. When you get to the crux of each one, you'll find they are all the same. They are completely dead.

The fact is, there will always be some vague similarities transformed into concrete "signs of the times." In the same way that corrupt churches twist the Word for benefit or convenience, others have been proclaiming the end of the world is at hand. Every decade there is a shift in significant events that can be fit into general description of prophecy, and a new book giving exacts dates for an apocalypse that has yet to occur.
Seriously, why wouldn't you continue using your music as a way to spread the news of what you believe if you feel that we don't have much time left?

I enjoyed making music, but I always made it for myself. I feel that it puts me on an undeserved pedestal. Are people really going to listen to any of this or are they going to brush it off and listen to the music? That's the real question and I came to the conclusion that it would be better to stop now rather than to attempt getting the news out by still making music.

Well if you think about it the Bible has probably inspired more music than anything else. Music through the Medieval era as well as the Renaissance were very music inspired by the Bible. Of course the Catholic church had a lot to do with that. But a nice bit of Baroque and Classical music were inspired by the Bible. Even modern composers such as Arvo Pärt still find inspiration in the words of God. It's a lot of music if you think about it, and that's only going into one artistic realm. Tons of paintings, sculptures and all kinds of literature were also inspired by the Bible.

Actually the world will be in tact after May 21 2011, it will continue on for a period of 5 months which is talked about in Revelation 9. This period of 5 months is where there will literally be hell on earth. Only the elect will be gone, everyone else will remain until October 21 2011. This will conclude the Feast of Tabernacle.

I don't plan to kill myself, that would say I don't trust in God for salvation and rather that I can only trust myself, which I can't.

2 Peter 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.

So what will happen then? On October the 21st 2011? What will you do if nothing happens, and you are wrong? I'm not saying you ARE wrong, I'm wondering what your response will be WHEN you are wrong.

Well really it will all begin on May 21st. We don't know the hour exactly, although it is easy to speculate, but on that day God will shake this world like a child shaking a rattle. All of the graves of the dead will the thrown open, and the dead who were saved will rise up with their new spiritual bodies, but those who aren't saved will be thrown out for everyone to see. Then those who are alive and are saved will be transformed and rise up into the heavens. This will all happen very quickly, I don't really know much more, but there is still time and God may very well reveal something else through the Bible. There is still a lot to learn, just the other day I began to learn about Enoch and how his transformation is a picture of the rapture on May 21. The only other thing I really know is that those who survive the 5 month up until October 21st will then be consumed with fire. This whole world is going to melt down a collapse into nothing. The 5 months, while it will involve everyone, will be geared mostly on the corporate church of today.

I haven't prepared anything really formal to say if I'm wrong, but I will say that everyday I study I get constant reassurance from all the dates and figures. Everything points to this being correct, even the unbelievers show me how inevitable and true this really is. Like I've said before though, if this is wrong then there is still more studying to do, there is still more to learn.

I have yet to see anyone actually go in and disprove this. Lots of people like to tell me it's incorrect and not going to happen, but no one ever does anything more than that. I would be afraid too.

There are a lot of things different about this than 2012.  2012 is based on the movement of our solar system and a lot of math.  2011 comes from the Bible, not the stars, the planet's rotation or anything else but the Bible.  Also 2012 is suppose to be a great natural disaster that begins another phase of the Sun, but in 2011 the world and everything we can and can't see will be destroyed.  There won't be a new beginning like the one said to come from 2012; instead, everyone will either be killed or be raptured.  The people who are raptured will be transformed into a new person with a perfect body and mind.  Those individuals will be able to comprehend things we can't even imagine and they'll live on the new Earth that God will create.  You can read more about this at www.familyradio.com and, of course, in the Bible.

I'm surprsed you're still thinking about this.  There are only about 500 days left to go before it is to late.

Whether or not you're correct in your beliefs, I can't see anything I can do but wait. I will most likely be one of those who will die on the date you mention, since my beliefs are considered by many to be of a polar opposite to those who follow the Bible's teachings.

At that time I will be half way through a tertiary course of education and presumably holding up a reasonable part-time job. I think I'll be in quite a happy state of mind at the dates you mention. Music is my life, and I will be experiencing it in a much more involved way, due to the affluence I assume I will have. My goals will be achieved.

Ergo, I will die happy. I won't feel threatened by warnings of "Hell". That's really all I have to say.

Then that is probably how things will turn out for you.  I thought something similar before but that is not what I want.  If I'm working all my life to achieve some sort of happiness only to have it taken away from me in a instant then all my work, everything I've done has been in vain, I will have gained nothing in return for a life of dedication that which ultimately has not mattered.  This will be the outcome of most of the population today and has been for most people since the beginning of time.  I can't make you change your mind or care about any of this, that's not mine to do, but is it really worth a year of happiness only to has it snatched up and destroyed in an instant?
