Current mood:Auto-adding your ass!
I'm at Tara's house! And yes, there's a reason her mailbox is so ornate.

Photobucket

It has surely been an insane and beauteous week. Lots of Tara-rist activity. You guys were right-- it is fun. Had a totally irresponsible weekend chockablock with movies, snacks & booze. Didn't clean at all. Floor at my house now completely obscured by eternal, permafrost-esque layer of matted laundry.

The EPK guys are here today, which means they're filming those documentary-style interviews that you see on DVDs and in press kits. I maybe should have showered today. I hate how I look in the Juno behind-the-scenes stuff. My hair was in an awkward phase and I was all booze-bloated and lipsticky. (Not that I'm Cheryl Tiegs now or anything.)

I smell food, so you know what that means. (bounds back to set like Great Dane.)

Very pretty box (hee hee). My mailbox is still smashed in the side from some asshole kids doing mailbox baseball last summer. My neighbors love it. I'm glad you had such a chill weekend. I can't wait for Tara!

Crank up the auto add, and here come the mail box smashers. End of an era, Cody. It's a Prankster truism- Nothing Lasts. Then again, Ken Kesey said when you don't know where you're going, you all have to stick together in case somebody gets there.

"Not that I'm Cheryl Tiegs now or anything." The true heart that beats in Brook has always been your most attractive feature. One of these days you'll begin to trust yourself. Cheryl Tiegs is my generation. We're all about botox and liposuction, lifts and tucks. You haven't come in to the prime of you life. Enjoy being yourself. It's not only a gift, it is an art form.

Tara-rist. That's what a friend of mine in college used to call me. Also, Tara-ble, Tara-tory, and Tara-rizor. You have my permission to use those.

I love that my name is being used in a TV show, even if it is a show about a woman with multiple personalities. Will there be swag, like t-shirts or mugs? I'd love one a-those.

My daughter is about your age and I'm glad you embrace your uniqueness in a world of replicas living up to a stereotype.

Don't you love being so busy and have little cash because you are so busy you can go buy new clothes for today and do wash and fold for tomorrow. That is the measure of my success, when wash and fold is the more practical way to spend my time.

Here's an effective cure for mailbox baseball players. Take a 4 inch diameter PVC pipe, cut it to <myspace>size</myspace> and place it in the center of your mailbox. Pour quick setting concrete around the pipe and let it set. There's plenty of room for your mail inside the pipe.
The next person who whacks that mailbox with a bat will receive a very unpleasant reminder of the value of civic responsibility.
Try it. Works like a charm.

Awesome. Pretty mail mailbox indeed. Love the creative aspect of putting a film together, production design , costumes, set building etc. Love it! EPK, they're important, how else would we live viacuriously through you without them. It feeds on our need for media fill of we want to get to know more of you...which you do so well already on your own with this wonderful blog.

Tootles!

Minnesota is still trying to adopt you as one of our own. Please go 'postal' at an airport or hurl your cell phone at somebody so they'll disavow you. Back to Steve and Sharon and their 'how to make Holidazzle eggs'.

Dee-love-ah-lee mailbox....

Hope the shoot is going well...and will you please stop with the behind-the-scenes Juno bonus material boo-hoo? To paraphrase Paul McCartney talking about The White Album and criticisms it should have been a single disc, you look bloody great, shut up! :) (But Oscar night, you wuz smokin'!)

Had my own weekend of movies (albeit for podcast duty) including 2nd looks at Cloverfield and some little flick you may have heard of named Juno, which honestly, gets better every time I see it....Some new aspect jumps out at me like Michael Cera's performance....or a line gets me that didn't before....or hey, that's a cool shot...and so much for nitpicks by naysayers that thought Mr. Reitman didn't deserve the kudos he got...He worked his butt off, but we all here know that...and I love the bit on the commentary track where you go, "you're going all film school on me here...." and launch into Peanuts schoolteacher talk. Priceless...speaking of Charlie Brown, another great commentary nugget: I now know where Minneapolis legend/huge hero of mine Charles M. Schulz got "Go fly a kite!" Cool!

tara's a man-eating artist? hmmmmm

that snap is in the friendly cracker-box sprawl of the san fernando valley, no?

we love you because you aren't a cookie-cutter one-dimensional chica, lipsticky and all.
besides, i can see you rockin' a see thru one-piece fishnet swimsuit like cheryl did in si circa '78 but edgier. i have that issue somewhere along with the infamous traci lords penthouse.

so you bunkered down and ate hostess ding-dongs all weekend, what no love for hohos?

I know how you feel. Once the EPK guys busted down the front door and I had to head out the back. I wasn't gonna let them take me alive...wait, EPK guys...ohhh, I'm getting my groups of people mixed up again. In that case, disregard what I just said.

Just kidding...sounds like a fun life you lead.

I bought the Juno DVD last Saturday and I've watched it six times since then. As a writer, it's a wonderful learning experience to study the story details. I love how you treat the characters with respect, giving them a nice balance of quirkiness and wisdom.

You're a genius, Ms. Cody.

Juno on iTunes... sweet! I've been waiting for that, 'cause it's a bit tough to see American movies while I'm living over here in Belgium. How much of my $14.99 ends up in YOUR pocket, Cody? Hopefully more than the $0.00 I suspect...
