Hey everyone!

I wanted to write a quick note to see how everyone is doing. It's been a while since I checked in but know that I read your messages and really appreciate them...well most of them. Everyone in the family is doing great.

I don't know about you all but Cash and I have been glued to the Olympics. How amazing was the opening ceremony?!? I still don't know how they coordinated 2008 people to move in perfect sync. The mens 400M relay was insane. We were down by almost a half body length going into the final turn and then next thing you knew it was closer, closer, closer until we touched the wall first! Cash and I went crazy. The shot of Michael Phelps after the race ended cheering with his teammates is so memorable. The last time I got this excited watching sports was when Baron was in the NBA playoffs. Next year we get to watch him in Los Angeles. Go Clippers!! ;)

Well if you aren't in the best shape of your life and training every day to make the next Olympics I highly recommend checking out the IBY Living Room Olympics. Honestly, my friends Air Synchronized Swimming performance is legendary and Chad showed he can do more than just type 90 words/min with this nerf dunk. Despite taking some time off I am still in the top100 on the site...beat that!!

I will be back next week to talk about going to the Alma's.

Take care,
Jay_eh

I was simply in awe when I watched the Olymics opening ceremony.
I really enjoyed it but I thought to myself, "If they can spend 40 billion? on the Olympic opening ceremoney, how come they can't spend that money to clean up the quality of their air?" Just a thought ;)

I know! I saw that relay and I was so moved by it. I felt the excitment in Michael Phelps reaction when they won. It was so amazing. How he and the rest of his team was cheering on his team meat and when he touched that wall, everyone was cheering and it so exciting to watch it. It was definantly memorable and something that we are never going to forget. Have fun at the Alma's.

Very interesting, thanks for the link.

Have you heard about the "puppy games" on Animal Planet?
They have little puppies competing in 'Olympic' events.

It looks so adorable.

It'll be on during the closing ceremony:)

A Different Type Of War

It's refreshing to see a online video that makes use of a trampoline without someone breaking their leg or something else.

I get the tingles watching the REALLY close races. Even in the pool, I sit at the edge of my seat like it's my child running the race or swimming. It's CRAZY! I love the Olympics though. It'd be great if they brought it to Chicago next.

I didn't get to see the entire Olympic opening ceremony because I was at work.

I did watch a special video that NBC had on their website that had about an hour of footage from it though. I thought it was spectacular. I even got a bit emotional at some parts and I have no idea why. It was beautiful.
That lcd floor was amazing!

Glad your family is doing well.
:)
Enjoy the Olympics and Go USA!

I agree the opening ceremony was great. And my favorite part of the olympics are the girls gymnastics because they look so elegant dancing to the music.

Go Nastial Luikin!!!

It would be nice to see if they have the women's figure skating also. The ladies look like ballerinas on skates.

Hi Jess! Hope everyone in the family are doing well. I loved the opening ceremony as well. I'm part of a fireworks company in Colorado and we were all watching with rapt attention. Did you know that Cai Guoqiang (the main art director for the opening ceremony shoot) said in a pyrotechnical newsletter that they had set up 1800 different locations in the city to fire the show from? 1800 is an insanely large number of locations.
No wonder is was so good! Best wishes, Ryan
