Hey Guys,

Jay_eh here. I wanted to share with everyone in the ibeatyou and MySpace communities my experiences at the inauguration last week, so I put together a little video.

Before I get to the video, I want to clear some things up that have been bothering me lately. I find it depressing that in the midst of perhaps the most salient time in our country's history, individuals are taking it upon themselves to encourage negativity and stupidity. Last week, Mr. Bill O'Reilly and some really classy sites (i.e.TMZ) insinuated I was dumb by claiming Sweden was a neutral country. I appreciate the fact that he is a news anchor and that gossip sites are inundated with intelligent reporting, but seriously people...it's so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland. Check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweden_during_World_War_II if you want to see what I was referring to. I appreciate the name calling and the accurate reporting. Keep it up!!

Now on to more important things...like our new President.

Click here to watch my inauguration video and read the rest of my blog. (http://www.ibeatyou.com/jessicaalba)

Best,
JA
Daniel

Excellent write-up, Jessica. I read the rest of your blog and saw the video, but, don't have a login to leave a comment, there. I agree, Obama is change!!! You are a, very, intelligent lady! Take Care.....Daniel ;0)..

I thought that the Inauguration was beautiful. I watched it for a few hours after i got home. I cried a little when he was sworn in (thought i was at work watching that part on my break). Its an exciting time.

It is so great you guys video taped this for us. I happened to be in the O.C. Child Support Services office and watched it on their TVs. Although the network coverage was great, your personal touch was even better. For a guy who emerged as an unknown (at least to me), he appears to have the utmost confidence and determination to better things in our country and abroad. Thanks again J.A. for sharing this experience with us (and being the prettiest smart woman on the planet). Love RM.

That was great, seeing what it was like to be there. It's great to see unity in people, just like you read on the bookmark. There was so much positive energy. The paintings were wonderful. Such talented artists, painting from the heart. It's great you are using your celebrity status for a cause that you believe in from your heart. Keep up the graet work.

Sweden was a neutral country and still is. Cool that you know stuff about my little country. Most people only knows ABBA Bjorn Borg and some hockey players. All respect to you and all others that wants to be enlightened.

Loved the video! what a great experience you two had. it showed a different view of the inauguration. I had to watch it on TV and was amazed at all that I saw and herd. it truly was a historical moment.
I'm not a political person but I believe that Obama has the true spirit of America in his heart and will do great things for the WORLD!!

You rock, as always. I wish everyone shared your ability to focus on what matters and let the small things pass by without dwelling on them. By the way, I thought you let O'Reilly off easy. :) My opinion, if anyone actually cared to hear it, would have been much less reserved. He just doesn't get it.
