Some people won't hesitate to tell you that they DON'T believe in TRUE love....
but, to me, that's just their excuse for NOT being able to find it!!!!
Pessimists of romance are like deranged scientists with low IQs....
their theories are limited to "all men are dogs" & "all women are bitches".
Whenever something goes wrong, they seek comfort in telling themselves [& others] that
monogamy's unnatural, love is a myth, & there's no such thing as finding one's soulmate.
They're so quick to embrace the idea that true love CAN'T POSSIBLY exist,
just b-cuz it's ALWAYS managed to elude them [instead of looking @ themselves]....
in their warped mind, the problem is EVERYBODY ELSE----not them.
Many times, I've seen people ask the question, "What is love"????
Unfortunately, I hadn't ever bothered to define it in more than just a few words.
It's such a simple question, yet it's more difficult to answer than people give it credit for.
Today, in another blog, I had the chance to state my own personal definition of TRUE LOVE
& just felt the need to share what I wrote with all of you.
Here is Don E. Dangerous' personal definition of TRUE LOVE:
"TRUE LOVE is an ocean, that has endless depths & vast undiscovered territories.
When you're looking @ it from the shore, the horizon [over the ocean] has NO BOUNDS.
Some people are afraid to love & many don't even know how to love....
so, they refuse to go into the water @ all. They'd rather stay on the shore [where it's safe] &
play, until the day that they die.
Other people just want to get their feet wet WITHOUT going too far into the water.
You've also got the surfers, who spend their lives trying to catch the perfect wave
[even though it's impossible, when there's always gonnabe a better wave to be caught].
And then, there are people that are crazy enough to venture into the water
despite being warned that The Perfect Storm will soon make landfall.
In order to truly experience the world of TRUE LOVE & its depths....
you CAN'T live on the surface in a yacht, tread water 24/7,
or be afraid to swim out past the safety buoy.
You've gotta completely open yourself to being a part of this undiscovered territory.
Some people go underwater with only a snorkle, some are professional divers,
& others are like Jacques Cousteau [practically trying to live there, in a submarine].
Everyone's gonna run outta oxygen sometime & die [that's just life, in general].
And if you love too much WITHOUT having the right equipment,
then the force of love's depths will crush you.
But, the degree to which each of us will experience the meaning of TRUE LOVE
depends solely upon our willingness to become a part of the ocean's territory.
How far you go is REALLY all about how deep you're WILLING to travel
(the miles that you're willing to log BENEATH the surface,
instead of the miles traveled above it)".
