The other day, I said to Carly, "Honey, ya know what's weird????
Lately, I've noticed an interesting trend among NEW subscribers to my blog.
For some odd reason, on any given day, people like my blog enough to subscribe to it....
but, when I post my next topic, they unsubscribe [as if I said sumthin' that they found offensive].
It's NOT like I'm losing subscribers though, b-cuz a new person always subscribes minutes later.
I can literally count down the seconds before a new subscriber replaces them----never fail".

Carly said, "Hmmm, that IS weird....
you'd think that people would read your other blogs BEFORE bothering to subscribe.
It's NOT like you DON'T talk about off-the-wall stuff all the time".

Now, folks, I've definitely gotta give my LONG-TERM subscribers alotta credit....
you've been loyal to me like a faithful wife through the good times & bad!!!!
You've stuck by me, accepted me, & have never faulted me for choosing to be brutally honest.
So, I've got LOVE for y'all [& you know who you are].

Yesterday, I FINALLY returned to the Top 10 of Myspace's Romance & Relationships blogs.
Even though I've stopped giving a shit about my rank [since taking my 3-month hiatus in March],
I admit that it felt good to make the 2nd slot WITHOUT needing 80 comments to get there.

But, when you make the Top 10, you usually get a flood of new subscribers....
& as much as I enjoy the fact that people like reading my stuff enough to wanna comeback,
I can't get too excited about it when I dunno how long these new people are gonnabe here.
Blogging is like everything in the entertainment biz----folks love you today & hate ya tomorrow!

So, to my new subscribers, I just wanna say....   WELCOME, but expect the unexpected!!!!
If you haven't read my other blogs, then there are some things that you oughta know about me.

1.  I talk about romance, relationships, & SEX alot in my blog.
Even though I DON'T post explicit pics in here....   I DO talk about strippers & porn @ times.
So, if you're expecting someone like The Virgin Mary----then, you're in the wrong place.

2.  I'm NOT a misogynist....  
but, I DO talk about things that disturb me about women & yes, I throw men under the bus too!!!!
You can be a feminist, but DON'T ever expect me to NOT call out the fuck-ups in either gender.

3.  From time to time, I'll talk about racism & poke humor @ race relations in general.
If you're the kinda person that expects me to sing kumbaya & pretend that racism doesn't exist....
then, you've DEFINITELY subscribed to the WRONG blog.

4.  Carly's told me, "Honey, you're so cocky & arrogant when you blog"....
I'm sure that many of you would agree with her assessment.
My girlfriend ISN'T the 1st person to ever say sumthin' like that to me & you wouldn't be either.
The Infamous Joe Styx (my best friend) can vouch that I beat myself up constantly!!!!
When ya beat yourself up as much as I do, then praising yourself on Myspace is a necessary evil. 

5.  To my fellow Black people [especially the sistas]....
I ADORE Black women & yes, my girlfriend is Black!!!!  BTW - Esther Baxter is also my honey.
Few things are sexier than how a French pedicure looks on a Black woman with pretty feet.
But, with that being said, I still DIDN'T discriminate in my dating life when I was younger &
if Jessica Alba was the last woman on Earth, then I'd knock her up without thinking twice about it.
I've always appreciated the beauty of a woman regardless of how much melanin she had....
& this is one reason why I maintain the Top 8 on my profile in the manner that I do.

6.  I DON'T talk much about religion or political issues in my blog [unless I'm trashing Bush].
Though I love The Lord & there are few generation X-Yers that like politics more than me....
I'm here to entertain folks [NOT debate 24/7 about what's wrong or right in America].
You'll NEVER see me post a blog about abortion, immigration, or gay marriage.
But, I will suffice to say that I'm PRO affirmative action, AGAINST reparations, 
think that Condoleeza Rice is Dubya's geisha, a firm believer that O.J. did it, the Iraq war is BS,
Rodney King deserved the ass whipping he got for endangering lives just to drive high on PCP,
the Palestinians & Israelis are BOTH acting like pure muthafuckin' assholes over holy land,
Laura Bush has gottabe the dumbest heffa to ever be 1st lady, Howard Stern & Gary are racists,
I MIGHT be willing to let Ann Coulter blow me if she'd stop bitching about liberals long enough,
& Kobe Bryant's an idiot.

So, with all of that being said, please enjoy reading my blog while you're here....
& if you should decide to UNsubscribe, then don't let the door hit ya on the way out!!!!

I am one of your long time subscriber I would guess...My ex girlfriend showed me your blog back in January and I been here ever since...Hell I been subscribed to you longer than the relationship lasted lol.....I enjoy reading your shit and losing subscribers is all a part of My space....I lose some and gain some almost daily...I started over with a new account and cant quite get back into blogging like the past but I gained 14 new subscribers this week.....Don't worry bout that stuff...The majority of My Spacers are idiots to begin with lol....

Yeah, you have been here for a while....   if I'm NOT mistaken, didn't you once have Chilly Willy as your profile pic?  I might be wrong about that one.  But, I definitely remember that you've been here for a damn long time.

Sorry about your relationship....   I hope that visiting my blog isn't gonnabe sumthin' that reminds you of your ex 24/7.

And nah, I'm not worried about losing subscribers....   I just think that it's an odd trend though b-cuz [like I said a few months ago] my blogs AREN'T sumthin' that I'd want my grandma to see & when I do decide to post a SERIOUS topic, it's rare that I'll post 2 of the same nature back-to-back.

I've been subscribed since 2/25/06, think that makes me above a hatchling but below a vet. I too have noticed the phenomena of the "phantom subscriber": post a new blog and suddenly someone unsubscribes, but then another warm body appears within 24 hours. Almost a 1:1 ratio, runs like clockwork!

Until now, I haven't left many comments on your blog, but not because I don't enjoy your material or have anything to say. I'm subscribed to way over 100 blogs and was having difficulty finding the time to read and leave feedback for all of them. I just can't say no to all the random invites I receive, but don't have the heart to unsubscribe from the truly eloquent writers either....

Romance isn't my favorite subject, but yours is among the best-written I've come across. I agree with a poster above that the majority of MySpacers are idiots, so it's always refreshing to find intelligent life forms here.

Since recently writing the words 'uck fay' and 'um cay' in a Religion and Philosophy blog, none of my entries have been listed anywhere the ranking, nor can it be found using the Search Blogs function. The invisible admins. felt it necessary to completely blacklist my blog, despite my modest readership and rare use of profanity. Just giving you a heads up!

I was writing a response to your blog late last night but kept drifting off to sleep, so I simply left Kudos! Bababooeyfafaphooey...

1st, I just wanna say thank you for what you had to say about my blog.

Now, you're the 2nd person that I've seen mention being blacklisted by the admins (Suzette was the other person).  What you guys have described is really wild.  But, I have noticed a couple of things that raised an eyebrow regarding my blog....

When I made my Relationship Material vs Booty Call blog, it made the number 1 slot.  But, shortly before noon, it was removed!!!! 

Then, the day that I did my Get Around Girls blog, it made the Top 5 & remained there into the early afternoon.  But, @ around 3 PM, it was removed.

@ 1st, I wanted to blame Myspace for it....   but, it DIDN'T make sense why they'd put a particular blog in the Top 10 & then proceed to move it later.  If the mods thought that it was inappropriate, then I'm sure that they wouldn't have even put it in the Top 10 to begin with. 

So, I started to wonder if there might be crybaby Myspacers that whine to the mods about removing certain blogs.

I'm pretty knew to your blogs.  Maybe a couple of months?  You are one of my fav's.  I have even pimped you out to a few of my homegirls.

I love a good read, and I admit, I am attracted to humorous blogs, or at least those who can find the humor in any situation.  Cheap therapy for me. I had subscribed to a lot of bloggers.  Some had become superstar status. (top bloggers and so on) However, I have noticed that some of them were hell bent on staying in the limelight and just started posting ridiculous blogs.  No substance, just a quota to stay in the game.  I started weeding them out and unsuscribing, cuz I swear to Gah I was getting stressed out trying to read all of them.  Some of these bloggers get like 200-300 comments!  More so, I think they are just becoming hang outs. haha.  I mean that is cool and all, but I don't have too much time to hang out at someones blog.

Some of my favorite bloggers only have blogs that are accessable if you are a friend or on their preferred list.  Some of them, hands down, are golden nuggets!

I myself, used to blog alot, and because I have kids on myspace, I keep the majority of them preferred.  Don't need to shatter the angelic image I have with my babay's, mmmkay? haha.

Oh, and what is up with all the drive by blog invites?  I get a shit load of these daily.  I know I am easy, but gah daym, can you at least get me some pinche vasaline first?

Sorry for the rant.  Bottom line, I'll be hear for a minute!

You're right about alotta people just using their blog as a hangout & how they're getting 200-300 comments on a topic where they aren't doing anything other than asking people "If it was politically correct to eat boogers, then what topping would you put on them"?

Now, I'm NOT gonna knock people for sending out the drive-by invites....    but, inviting people to read my blog just ISN'T my thing.  Though I enjoy being the center of attention, it'd make me feel like I'm starved for attention if I ever started inviting people to read my blog.

To tell you the truth, there are times when I REALLY wanna blog about certain subjects & decide NOT to b-cuz I don't wanna bore y'all with what's on my mind.  Sure, I could post them as diary entries during those times....   but, I feel like I'd be doing a disservice to my readers [by taking this approach].

Also, I feel ya on protecting your kids.  I've often said that if I had my own TV show----I'd NEVER let my children watch it!!!!

P.S. Thank you for pimpin' my blog.  I'd NEVER have enough time to post topics & respond to others, if I had to pimp my own blog.

I used to be flattered by all the drive by blog invites, but after getting about 20 a week, without even an intro or anything, it started getting annoying.  I will send invites on occasion but only to people who are on my friends list and usually after I have been a subscriber of their blogs, giving us a chance to get to know each other.  I guess I am just old school like that.

The majority of blog invites I was getting were from people who, I think, were just trying to increase their readership.  Some didn't even have much to say, but maybe some quizzes or questions.

I mostly write journal type stuff too, so I am sure my stuff would be completely boring to straight up stranger.  Well except for my drunken porn stories.

1st of all, I just wanna tell you that I didn't realize that the brotha who wrote you that poem DIDN'T even know you.  I damn near cried when I read your response to somebody else about that [b-cuz I coulda sworn that the brotha knew you alot better than he did].

I admit that I don't reply to your blog [& others] as much as I should....  but, I still read yours religiously.

Now, to answer your question----yes, people unsubscribe that regularly to my blog!!!!  My turnover is very high.  All that I've gotta do is post a topic about SAVING THE WHALES & I'd get a new crop of subscribers who'd be gone within 48 hours.

You wanna hear some funny stuff????  Last week, I was going through my subscriber list b-cuz I noticed that my number had increased.  When I went to see who my new subscribers were, I saw that they were people who'd subscribed the previous day.  When I clicked to the next page of subscribers, I noticed that my number had increased by one [somebody had subscribed during the time that I was going through my list].  So, I went to see who it was & proceeded to checkout their profile.  Guess what happened????

When I returned from checking out their profile [no longer than a good 2 minutes]....   the person had already UNsubscribed!!!!  That oughta go into the Guiness Book of World Records under Fastest Cancellation of a Blog Subscription.

My hiatus sucked!!!!  But, you don't have to worry....   I'm not gonna burnout anytime soon.  I've got an entire word document of blog topics that I'm waiting to write about & some [in my head] that I haven't even added to it yet.

So, ya wanna hear my opinion on why I think Howard Stern is a racist.  OK, here it is....

I used to watch his show & I loved it [to tell you the truth].  Though terribly asinine, it's entertaining.  I've even bought 2 of his books.

Howard ISN'T one of those "lynch all niggers" racists....   but, he clearly has issues with Blacks [dating back to his childhood when he suddenly found himself as the ONLY White kid in his neighborhood].

He ISN'T the ONLY White person to EVER grow up in an all Black neighborhood....  my best friend's family was the only White one in our neighborhood for 15 years & he encountered the same kinda BS that Howard Stern dealt with.

When Howard talks about his childhood, he always bitches about how scared he was to go to school & how "BIG BLACK GUYS" used to constantly pick on him....   but, that's the same kinda stuff that Black nerds deal with on a daily basis anyway.  The ONLY difference is that the bullies were calling him "cracker" & "honkey", while the nerds were called "wannabe" & picked on for "talking White".

In his book, Howard states that the GREATEST thing that Black men got outta the Civil Rights Movement was the right to fuck White women [which is a ridiculous thing to say & an insult to everything that MLK gave his life, in order to achieve] & even goes so far to define a successful Black man as one with a White woman on his arm.  I'm NOT even gonna get into his little dick complex.

On his show, the ONLY Black men that Howard ever has judging women are ones that disrespect any Black woman who comes through the studio & praise anybody that DOESN'T have brown skin [unless they're Latino or a White girl with a tan].  Just look @ that moron [whose ass he kisses] named KING OF ALL BLACKS!!!!  When somebody disrespects a Black model, Howard laughs----but, when somebody disrespects a model of any other color, Howard always steps up to defend her [as long as she's NOT butt ugly].

Whenever a pornstar comes onto the show, the 1st question that he & Gary wanna ask her is, "Do you sleep with Black guys"????  Sometimes, they even go as far as to say, "Please don't tell us that you're one of these pornstars that sleeps with Black guys".  Whenever one says that she doesn't, then they get excited & whenever one says that she does, then their mood goes somber.  The episode featuring Latitia Casta [the Penthouse Pet] is a classic example----they were loving her, until she said that her boyfriend was Black & once she did, they went onto the next girl on the panel and pretty much ignored her for the rest of the interview.

They USE Robyn as a puppet, so they can tell people that they're NOT racists.  But, look @ the kinda person that Robyn is....   she's the kinda woman that gets mad when people make derogatory comments about women & has even walked off the set when it's happened [but, she laughs hysterically whenever somebody says anything derogatory against Blacks].

Anytime that Howard & his buddies have a Black model on the show, they DON'T say that she's pretty.  They ALWAYS say, "Wow, you're pretty hot FOR A BLACK CHICK" & talk about how they don't ever see any good-looking Black women [when there are tons of Black models in Manhattan].  That's like living in Miami & saying that you don't see any good-looking Cubans down there.

We certainly saw Kobe The Great in this year's playoffs, didn't we???  The way that he refused to step up when his team needed him most was so Jordanesque. 

From now on, anybody who even mentions Kobe Bryant in the same breath as MJ oughta be put to death.

That's @ least one thing that I can give Bush credit for....   he knows how to bullshit people into believing any ole lie that comes outta his mouth, he controls people by playing into their fears, & has convinced Americans that it's unpatriotic to exercise your FREEDOM OF SPEECH by speaking out against the war.

Isn't it funny how BEFORE the election, he kept yapping about how "a vote for Kerry will bring another terrorist attack" & "it's dangerous to change presidents in a time of war"....   people actually BELIEVED that bullshit.

Then, as soon as Bush won, his buddies started telling us that "The terrorists are gonna strike @ us again.  It's NOT a matter of IF, it's more a matter of WHEN.  So, we're doing our best to protect Americans"....   & then, after all that BS about it being dangerous to change presidents during a war, Bush said that the NEXT president is gonna have to decide whether we'll leave Iraq [which means that we're gonna change presidents during war time REGARDLESS]. 

When you feed people bullshit, then they'll always be ignorant to the game.  So, I prefer to NOT bullshit people about ANYTHING that I write about.
