i've never met anyone in real life that i met online, but i've gone with friends before to meet someone they met online, and it's always best, cuz then if it gets at all awkward, you can all just make up an excuse and leave. i've had friends who wanted to go by themselves for the first time, and i'm like, fuck no, are you crazy?! what if they tried to hurt you?!

If I had a kid/teenager today, then I'd monitor everywhere they went on it [setting privacy options ISN'T even enough anymore, b-cuz alotta kids are smart enough to deactivate them & delete their histories].

But, you know how SOME parents are nowadays....   if their kid starts crying about how EVERYBODY's using the internet or how their friends are on Myspace, then the parents give-in [again, b-cuz they're MORE concerned about being a FRIEND to their child instead of being a PARENT].

I DON'T believe in that bullshit though....   a parent's job ISN'T to be FRIENDS with their kid.  A friend CAN'T guide you!!!!!   Friends are people that give you advice 24/7, even though you're constantly going out on your own & ignoring everything that they tell you.

My kids can TRY to go around me, if they want [I'd be foolish to think that they AREN'T gonna test me].  But, I certainly WON'T act like a friend does when you deceive them.  When you're a friend, then you can cutoff people that wrong you----but, when you're a parent, you have a LIFETIME obligation!!!!  That's why FRIENDSHIP should NEVER be placed in the same category/class as PARENTING.

You lemmie find out that my daughter's talking to boys online & posting scandalous pictures of herself.  Man, that'd be the LAST muthafuckin' time she'd use the computer until the day she got HER OWN place [& I wouldn't be the kinda parent who'd let the fear of their child BEING ANGRY about it affect me @ all].

Well I don't have any kids at the moment, but when I do and I have a daughter then I really feel sorry for cuz she is gonna be on lockdown with very limited freedoms just because I know how guys are and I know how sick people can be in this world....You can't sleep on the Predators cuz they don't stop until they get what they want and what they want might end up being your little girl or boy that you cherish dearly......I agree with Don E' Dangerous when he said thet these sick fucks can't be rehabilitated, cuz just like when us guys want a girl or a girl wants a guy (you know normal shit) theses Psychos want little girls and boys and there ain't nothin' anyone can do about that shit.........These Psychos get caught and go to jail for a short period of time and get out just to go back to the same old routine of Preying on young girls and boys amd that's what scares alot of parents out here........

I agree with Chris when he said these girls like the older guys, just like on more than one occassion I approached  a girl thinkin' that she was atleast 20 and she ended up being 16 (atleast she told me), but the thing that got me was that they said I won't tell if you won't......That's is why I must ask for I.D. around here where I live when I'm hollerin' at a girl cuz these young girls around here look much older than they are and it scares me............

girls usually like older guys, that's just the way it is. i've always been more attracted to guys who were at least 10 years older than me, even when i was back in high school. even now, i was with a guy 21 years older than me, it's just all about preference.

ya, it was kinda creepy when he told me his age (cuz he was really hot and i thought maybe early 30's) and i was like oh shit, you are the exact same age as my dad (i was 21, he was 42)! and he had a son the exact same age as me, good lord, but the guy turned out to be an asshole just like the younger ones! i definitely learned that men can be assholes and immature AT ANY AGE!

I went to HS with this Spanish girl who had a younger 12 year old sister....   no jokes, her little sister had MORE CURVES than 99% of the girls that I went to college with.  That shit was crazy!!!!!  So, I feel ya on whatcha said about some of these young girls being built like women.

For those of us guys who happened to see the July 1984 issue of Penthouse magazine before they took it off the shelf [with VANESSA WILLIAMS in it] & turned to the pictorial of TRACI LORDS....   then, yeah, we know whatcha mean!!!! 

I remember looking @ that issue as a 9 year old & saying, "Damn, that TRACI LORDS chick is a bad ass female"!!!!  I remember being jealous b-cuz older guys were hittin' that [b-cuz she was making porno movies, back then].

But, when I found out that the girl in the pages was REALLY 16....   I said to myself, "YES!!!!  I've gotta chance!!!!   I think that every underage boy was celebrating that day.

Once again, great topic.  I saw the special, too.  It made me sick.  Yes, the girls are complete idiots who meet with these men.  Ever wonder, in this day and age, WHY they're stupid enough to meet these men?  (who they probably think are young men or even boys)  I sure wonder.  Do they need attention THAT badly, that they'd risk their safety to that degree?  Maybe if they envisioned how things COULD wind up before they ever meet these strangers, they might think twice about meeting them.  Seriously.  Envision being sexually assaulted, beaten, etc.  Envision how it would feel and what would happen to you afterwards, as well.  THINK about the consequences! 

I'm not saying it's all the young ladies faults.  Hell, no.  These men who prey on our young ladies (and young men) are sick.  They will never have a normal, healthy sexual relationship because something is loose in their noggins.  They will NEVER stop their behavior.  They do not have the option to ever be well, or even well-intentioned. 

No matter how many times we viewers heard from these sick f*ck's mouths, "I've never done this before..." we still didn't believe them.  But, they still missed the point, which helps to prove they're predators.  They think if they say they've never done it before, and were caught in their first act of pedophilia, they'll convince the world that they're oh-thank-heavens not a pedophile because they were stopped before they committed the act, and will by golly never do it again.  THEY HAD THE IDEA AND FOLLOWED THROUGH WITH ARRANGEMENTS IN ORDER TO ATTEMPT TO COMMIT THE CRIME.  Whether they did it before or not is moot in terms of whether or not they are pedophiles.  Do they think the public is as stupid as some of these young ladies?  I'd like to see a follow-up from Dateline about every single one of those men.  I'd like to see what they're doing, what happened to them because of Dateline, and I'd like to see every one of their children, grandchildren, etc., taken away from them.  After all, pedophiles need consequences too.

Yes I told you how some of these people have emailed me about being a model and all I have to do is send a few naked pictures and all that crap. Now I am not that stupid to fall for that stuff but if I get I am sure lots of girls do and sad thing is they fall for that crap. My little sister wanted to get a myspace and my mom asked me about it and I told her no dont let her get into myspace because I know how she is(lol just a little me but not as smart) I did check into how to make it private but prevs can still send her messages so nope she dont need it and I can be the big bitch older sister.

I saw that on TV also and even how the same guy was back on within a day doing the same thing again and these were not low life people, some were outstanding people in their community. Some of these people had jobs that the did come in contact  with kids every day. How do you stop something like this other then watch every move your child makes and we all know that is not possible.

Myspace is just another site on the internet, this is nothing new. Cops used to bust pervs in AOL chat rooms, Yahoo and all the rest....It's good they do it. I just can't imagine how dumb a girl would have to be to meet someone from the internet. Let me qualify that by saying girls that are teens meeting guys that are not.

I know some cool people on here, guys and girls. But if i ws a girl, id be very cautious before meeting any guy. I'm with ya 110 percent though...I could talk about this for ever...people are stupid.
