Hello all my fellow weed heads. Hope you are all loving "Bong TV" this is me live everyday in my limo cruising SoCal smoking the best flavors of sweet cannabis on gods green earth. Go to Marijuanatheband.com everyday at 420pm and click "Live Pot Party" link, and join in on the mayhem!!! So now I would like to discuss a subject that I get many requests for. Cooking with cannabis and making weed butter that will knock your socks off!!!

Here's a little education first. Pot eaten like it is will not really get you high as your body doesn't have the right enzymes to digest it and extract the THC. So THC must be extracted via fat/oil or alcohol. THC is released after 180 degrees. So a slow boil of weed and oil or alcohol is all it takes. In the old western days, cowboys used to dip fat buds in honey and roast them over a fire. Yummy!!! I don't how high they got, but I bet it was a delicious treat for sure. So, if you like cooking you can put some bud in your cooking oil and within a week it should be pretty potent. You can also boil some bud with vodka or any type of alcohol for a few mins and you have just made Cannahol.

"Cannabutter" This is the official recipe of Bong Rip. First lets discuss the amounts you will use. Per stick of butter you will use either 1oz. of clipping, half oz. of seeds and stems, 1 quarter mid grade bud, or a half an eighth of killer chronic. It's best to do at least 4 to 8 sticks worth in a spaggetti pot, and plan on loosing a stick in the boiling process if you do 8 sticks of unsalted butter. So fill spaggetti pot half filled with water and bring to very slow boil. Now dump grinded herb with butter sticks in and watch closely for first hour so it doesn't boil too hard and foam over. Now pack some bowls and roll some joints cause you are going to stir every 20 mins for the next 5 hours. 6 full hours of slow boiling pleasures my friend. The longer the better. I have a friend that will slow boil for up to 14 hours and I swear his butter is hands down the stoniest I have every had. So, when the boiling is done, you put the pot in the fridge and in the morning all the butter will rise to the top and just remove your green butter wheel, melt slowly in a little pot and strain through a tea strainer to remove the crap. Pour into a jar and use sparingly. 1 tablespoon equals 1 high for a normal daily smoker. Use butter in replacement to oil in brownie batches and cookie recipies. Enjoy carefully!!!

tried this, didnt work, i KNOW everything was done right, i boiled for about 5-6 hours in 1 stick of butter with an quad of some high quality cannabis......put it in the fridge let it seperate, cut it into 4 doses, ate one, felt nothing......i was pissed because it wasted alot of weed

Sounds tasty! Another good recipe is making rice crispy treats with pot butter. For some reason my friends and I did not get as stoned as we should have but it was delicious.

also add it(butter) to melted chocolate chips (2 cups to three pounds chips makes about 30 candies) and pour in muffin tins (with the papers your ma used for cupcakes) top with nuts or toffee or peanut butter in the center likea reeces...... Dark, Milk, Wihte they all are good. I used to make them for a company......but I quit so I can tell you now that this sells for 5-7 dollars at the club I buy my medicine from andwe were selling about 300 pieces a week so do the math

So I just got the invite for your page/myspace page and I am loving it already!!!  I am a regular poster on The Happy Stoner, and if anyone is reading this who isnt a member they should seriously consider joining!! However I have a feelin that most of you are members of one of the largest groups on Myspace. (it could be THE largest but I havnt done any researh, sorry I love Myspace but not that much) Anyway I just wanted to ask Bong Rip a couple questions about my method compared to his etc...first I didnt realize that u could use alcohol but I am goin to have to try it...whats the high/drunk feel like?? Second- when I make mine I usually start with prolly 1.5-2 sticks but I dont boil it I usually simmer it for 2-3 days so that the butter cooks down...u dont have as much, but in the experiences I have had it has made it a lot stonger...a lot of the butter evaporates I guess, and its like its more concentrated...I could be wrong and wasting a lot of butter though so I wanted to ask!! I realy hope u read these and I get some kind of a response but either way I hope some of my fellow stoners will help me out...gotta learn something new everyday!!!

yea i heard that if you put your weed in a nylon sack or something like nylon, your weed wont get into your butter and then you dont have to go through the hassle of getting it out of your butter.
i have heard of this recepie about 5 years ago and it is GREAT!!!!! so to all the people reading this, i employ you to PLEASE try this recepie, it is fantastic.

Edibles are the best way to get stoned, because you dont ruin your lungs with smoke, plus it lasts a lot longer... I do a lot of cooking with weed too, and Ive found that keif makes the best product... no flavor, no plant matter, no trace of weed in your food... Just heat some vegetable oil to 375 degrees, throw the keif, or weed (broken up) into the oil and cook for a very short time.... then use the oil in anything like muffins, cupcakes, brownies, cake, or even in your dinner! Beware of the potency of keif, ive made some strong ass edibles that make my friends go nuts.... hahaha....
