I am fifty four years old. I have not only been a fan of the Kinks, the Beatles, the Byrds, but I loved the dream of my own band playing my own music since I first watched George jump on the back of that car to rescue Ringo in Help! The first time I heard Jumper, I knew this band was talented beyond what was on the radio then, or since. I quickly purchased all three of the albums and was vindicated beyond measure. Third Eye Blind writes music that makes me cry, simply because it's amazing beyond belief and I know I can't do it.

I was ready to hear Non Dairy Creamer since Out of the Vein. I was NOT disappointed. I cried when the guitar hook came in, I cried when the music dropped out and returned with almost a military marching beat. I cried because the violins were not just good, they were perfect. I think that this is the greatest band since the original few from Britain showed us what could be done with guitars. I applaud you, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was stunned once again...

I'm reluctant to comment with anything but the greatest amount of praise, however, I'm keeping it real if I say the following.........."I love the beat, the voice and the overall message being conveyed." I have become so accustomed to your usual methods of story telling and perhaps I'm focused on the absence of what was, instead of finding where I fit in with your growth.

I may not be Third Eye Blind's biggest fan in the sense that I do not have you tattooed on my body and I have never had the luxury of following your tours from city to city. I am a fan who owns every CD, who has had the pleasure of seeing you perform Live on at least 5 occasions. I appreciate and admire your ability to humble yourself when you look out at the crowd with such appreciation. You played a sample of what's to come from the new Cd when you were in Michigan last year and I from what I heard then, I plan to support your efforts. I apologize for assuming that my opinion was requested, but, I suppose that my need to inform you was provoked by the need I have always had,... to hear your words.

Very nice sound....Great mood setting melody.....I miss the old album lyrics...I like the play on words, but there is an emptyness to it. I think it is a closed door to interpretation. I like it when music can have multiple meanings so that two very unique people can find relation to the same song but with their own meaning. I am not sure why but I miss the morbidity in your music....made me feel alive.

I could not have said it better myself. I couldn't agree with you more. The music and melody itself is truly beautiful, but there is something missing that usually attracts me to 3eb music. What about songs like Wounded? Motorcycle Drive By? Jumper? My Hit and Run? I'm glad I'm not crazy and I wasn't the only person to think this. Thanks for your post.

Fantastic song...musically...Brad and Tony did a great job...but I liked Jenkins' lyrics a lot better when they were about Charlize and not politics.

sigh

(since i doubt 3eb will reply)

the lyrics seem to be definitely sarcastic, and to be making fun of the whole thing with how "two gay men marrying destroys the definition of family"

but that just what i think, and im pretty sure im right...

anyways, although it is obvious that there are some political statements in the song, i have thought of it more as a song of parodoxes than a song of political statements.

aka non dairy creamer and young gay republicans...

3eb... you guys have always been a musical inspiration to me ever since I bought Out of the Vein 3 years ago. Hearing about your new album makes me more and more excited by the day. Though I do believe you guys have made some of the greatest music to my kind, I don't consider Non-Dairy Creamer a song you guys worked out to its best level compared to past songs which had so much more. I hope your newest album brings more than what Non-Dairy Creamer had brought.

.I have become so attached to your music from all levels but when hearing politics in your music makes it less enjoyable knowing how we have our disagreements. I just believe its a major sacrifice of fans seeing how we all have our own views. I see you guys are just voicing out because Music is a form of expression and using that voice, but you guys were doing just amazing without the politics involved.
