At some point this morning, I hit a wall. It was a brick wall, solid and immobile. I phased through it somehow though, and made it to the other side. I think it was around 4 AM when I started to feel my limbs falling asleep. Not dozing with prickles and loss of circulation, but actually just giving up the ghost for the day. I shook it off, downed a Dr Pepper and made it another couple hours. Past the wall, into the dawn. What I have to show for it are three main things : a headache from lack of sleep, the darkest circles my eyes have ever sported, and a complete version of the best record I have ever had anything to do with.
The new Remus Lupins album, Nevermind the Furthermore is officially done.
Here is the tracklist:
1. Music is Magic 2. Weasley Clock 3. 7 Potters 4. Hey Whompy 5. Whats Coming Will Come 6. Bezoar Pills 7. Oh Dear My Dear 8. Marauders Forever 9. Gotten Into 10. Skipping Class 11. Home 12. Teddy & Victoire 13. APWBD 14. Wake Up & Dance With Me 15. Everything is Going to be All Right 16. Lullaby 17. The End
I havent talked that much about it, but we have been working on the record for the last month and a half or so, putting more sweat and tears into it than anything we've released before, and almost as much blood as Teenage Werewolf. But I did cut my hand open during the recording of that one...so...the blood award sticks with the Werewolf disc.
The Furthermore will be released on June 19, just in time for our Summer Tour.
Oh yeah, tour. If you hadnt noticed, we've posted a fair amount of tour dates on the main myspace page and more will be following in the next few days, now that every moment of free time isnt spent twisting knobs and trying to get the sound of the new album just right. Or at Disneyland. Or at Wrockstock.
About Wrockstock - I have a million things to say about it, but I am getting distracted now. I'll put up a blog about that in a few days. Back to tour.
We are going to be touring all summer, rocking it out with you across the country. We are going to play near you, I promise. If we arent, then just make it a road trip and drive the two hours to come and dance. It will be fun. Seriously.
For those of you who havent heard since the big announcement at Wrockstock, the East Coast leg of our tour features some of my favorite people. June 30 - July 12th, The Remus Lupins will be joining Draco and the Malfoys, the Whomping Willows and Justin Finch Fletchley to tear it up down the Atlantic. After that, the Willows will stick around and we will be joined by the Mudbloods for dates until Terminus (July 13-Aug 6). Before that , we will be rocking the west coast with our good friends in The Good Cheer (June 9-17). There are a whole lot of dates, and we are coming through some cities more than once, so be sure to check out the tour dates and start rounding up your friends to come to the shows.
Edit: People seem to be getting the wrong idea about the dates that are up. There are about 30 more shows still to go up, so if there isnt a show posted yet, there likely will be in the next few days. So, keep a weathered eye on the horizon, cos we're coming.
More on Wrockstock soon. In the meantime, start getting pumped for tour, and for a new record that features more than an hour of brand new music.
