With no other way to ponder celebrating my birthday due to more home renovations and family visits (in this case, my sister and her boyfriend having spent the day in Montreal and likely not up to doing much after their trip back to Ottawa), I took my cue from another blog that stole the idea here in which you choose an album from each year you've been alive. And with so many to choose from from my birth date alone (as well as possibly yours) it is best to choose only one:

 Kiss Hotter Than Hell

 Aerosmith Toys In The Attic

Rush 2112 (with Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak a close second)

 The Clash S/T

Van Halen S/T (with Pat Travers' Heat In The Street a close second)

Motorhead Bomber (with Judas Priest's Sad Wings of Destiny a close second)

TIE - Ozzy Osbourne Blizzard Of Ozz and AC/DC Back In Black

 Iron Maiden Killers

 Judas Priest Screaming For Vengeance

Slayer Show No Mercy (with Motley Crue's Shout At The Devil a close second)

 Metallica Ride The Lightning

 Metallica Master Of Puppets

Slayer Show No Mercy (with Ozzy Osbourne's The Ultimate Sin a close second)

TIE - Guns 'N Roses Appetite For Destruction and INXS Kick (Jason will vouch for me on that one)

 Queensryche Operation: Mindcrime

Motley Crue Dr. Feelgood (with the Tragically Hip's Up To Here and the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Mother's Milk at a close second)

Pantera Cowboys From Hell (with Alice In Chains' Facelift, the Black Crowes' Shake Your Moneymaker, Judas Priest's Painkiller, Public Enemy's Fear of A Black Planet and Megadeth's Rust In Peace all tying at a close second)

TIE - Metallica S/T (The Black Album), Soundgarden Badmotorfinger and Metal Church The Human Factor

TIE - Rage Against The Machine S/T

 Sepultura Chaos AD

TIE - Soundgarden Superunknown and Megadeth Youthanasia

TIE - Alanis Morrissette Jagged Little Pill, the Tea Party The Edges of Twilight, Brother Cane Seeds and Fear Factory Demanufacture

I Mother Earth Scenery And Fish (with Sheryl Crow's self-titled album and Tool's Aenima close second)

 Megadeth Cryptic Writings

Monster Magnet Powertrip (no contest really although Brother Cane's Wishpool was a good second)

TIE - Annihilator Criteria For A Black Widow, Armored Saint Revelations and Nevermore Dreaming Neon Black

TIE - Pantera Reinventing The Steel and Iron Maiden Brave New World

Slayer God Hates Us All (with Annihilator's Carnival Diablos a close second)

TIE - Black Label Society 1919 Eternal and Opeth Deliverance

Black Label Society The Blessed Hellride (with Iron Maiden's Dance of Death a close second)

Damageplan New Found Power (Megadeth's The System Has Failed ranks a close second but as this was the year of Dimebag's horrific murder that was one of the few albums to come close to making the second ranking here)

Judas Priest Angel Of Retribution (with Black Label Society's MAFIA at a close second)

 I Between Two Worlds

TIE - Mastery Lethal Legacy and Megadeth United Abominations

A fucking insane amount of new albums with Testament's The Formation Of Damnation, the Double Pumpers' Old Gold and Airbourne's Runnin' Wild as contenders so far this year.

*phew!*
