The current transit strike is 20 days old and counting, the city of Ottawa - well, specifically Mayor Larry 'Hardon With Ears' O'Brien - saved at least $60 million dollars to date with all 2300 of OC Transpo's drivers being on the picket lines and just barely getting by on strike pay which despite being a fraction of their $70,000 a year salary is in some cases still a fuck of a lot more than what the average individual earns on an annual salary even during these harsh economic times (and that's if he/she still has a steady job at this point) let alone more than what most of them even deserve given the deteriorating service from the past 7 years as of late, the picket lines that you've set up outside the arenas during the International Hockey Championship tournaments is generating more bad publicity for the city and people of Ottawa than general support for your union even to the point that some bus drivers are even contemplating dropping out of the strike so that they can return to work and I haven't even gotten to the part where you and the rest of the other greedy cocksuckers from the Amalgamated Transit Union have inconvenienced lots of commuters who rely on the bus as a means of transportation as well as a lot of small businesses in the downtown core who relied on customers during the Christmas rush and even threatening college/university students and staff who also rely on the bus to arrive for their year-end mid-terms for daring to cross your picket lines at the height of the bus strike - and all for a pay raise, total autonomy on scheduling arrangements and more seniority for older drivers who were probably close to retirement age from OC Transpo anyway, I still feel I have to ask the following:
1) Do you really believe it's still worth it at this point to continue with this vastly unpopular walkout what with the entire city hating you now and all?
2) Assuming you actually have success in getting the city of Ottawa to cave in to your demands for more pay how much of your new pay raise will you be using to hire David Suzuki for your long overdue PR media blitz in convincing more people to take public transit to save the environment?
3) What in the fuck does your slogan 'Courtesy is a two-way street' even mean anymore at the height of this strike?
That's my piece on this strike. And fuck you and fuck the ATU in the right earlobe with O'Brien's unwashed cock for not only costing me my proctoring season at Carleton University but also on behalf of everyone else you've inconvenienced - commuters, business owners and the other 2100 drivers apparently striking against their own will after having their voice usurped by so-called union solidarity by saying they sided with you on agreeing to strike in the first place.
Sincerely,
The City Of Ottawa
P.S.: Having watched the uber-cheesy 80's teen classic Licence To Drive the thought of having my own transportation appeals to me even more almost as much as being Corey Feldman's character alongside Heather Graham in the movie. So fuck David Suzuki too while I'm at it.
