Hey all!
I tried to do this once, but the whole blog got deleted (urrggg!), so I'm gonna try to do it again!
First I just want to say that I had such a BLAST on this cruise, and it was so much fun getting to meet everyone! I really hope to see at least some of you guys next year if I'm able to go. You will have so much fun on the cruise, I promise! Especially if it was your first cruise, like me.
So I wanna tell you all the stuff that happened, so I guess the best way to do it would be to break it down day by day, so here we go:
Sunday: We first got on the ship in the late morning, and tried to get our bearings as best we could before going to get some of the AMAZING food that we had access to all week. Ask anyone, and they'll tell it's some of the best food ever. So then we headed up to our stateroom, which was pretty small, but it had a nice balcony, which was very cool. I cerenaded myself to the sounds of John Mayer almost every night, hahahaha. That night we went to this cool lounge place for a little Nickelodeon crew orientation party thing. We met up with Tom Kenny, the voice of Spongebob, and that was REALLY cool. We also caught up with the President of Nickelodeon, Cyma Zarghami. She's one cool cat :) lol and her kids are really cool too. So then we went to bed, ready for the next day!
Monday: Or so I thought.... lol it was a reallllyy long day, but so much fun! We screened a couple of iCarly episodes, and then signed autographs for a while. About 6 hours, to be exact. haha But it was so cool getting to meet all the people who came to see us, and we met most of them. After that, we chilled for about an hour, then headed off to a family karaoke session! There were actually some really good singers there that night.
Tuesday: Our first off-ship excursion! And one of my favorite days of the whole cruise. We left to go on a dune buggy tour along the coast of Cozumel, Mexico, then snorkeled in the crystal clear Caribbean Sea! ahhh it was so beautiful! After chilling out on the beautiful beach and getting some good sun, we drove back and got ready for another autograph and picture session for those who weren't able to see us the day before. So that pretty much helped us to meet everyone on the ship. Then we found out that the ship crew would let us onto the ice rink for a private session! It was my first time ever trying to ice skate, and I only wiped out once when I tried to get fancy on a stop. lol it was pretty funny when I was stumbling along when Jennette goes flying by doing a twirly spinny thing (If you didn't already know Jennette is an AMAZING skater!!)
Wednesday: This was pretty much a chill day. I had no obligations or anything, so I was able to just roam around the ship. Rock climbing, Rock Band sessions, mini golf, the works! Very fun day, just having fun!
Thursday: This was a very interesting day. I was asked to host the "Ultimate Pie in the Face" contest, which was a blast! Only catch was I had to learn the script in about 20 minutes, which was a tad tough. But I had so much fun! The best part was, I got slimed at the end! ahhh that was SO awesome! It tastes funny, but the texture was really cool. Slippery, but not sticky. lol But also, this was the day we stopped in Jamaica, so we got off to do a little sight-seeing. Then we ended up climbing Dunn Falls, and that was AWESOME! Imagine climbing slippery rocks as torrential water pour over your head, and that's pretty much what it was like, hahaha.
Friday: wow, this was a full day! we got off the boat really early in Haiti to go parasailing! Oh my gosh, that was intense! Once you got up in the air, it was so calm and peaceful, I loved it. I highly recommend. That night, we held the first EVER screening of "Gym Teacher: The Movie"!! It was SOOO much fun! I think the people really liked it. What I loved was when the parents would come up to me and tell me how they liked it.
Saturday: honestly, this was a kinda sad day! We knew it was the last full day of the cruise, so we had to say goodbye to everyone we met :( But we squeezed in all we could, hanging out all over the ship and talking with the people we knew. A lot of the day was taken up getting all packed up for the flight home, cuz our room was a MESS with all our stuff all over the place hahaha that night we went to that same lounge place for sort of a farewell party to thank everyone for all their hard work on the cruise. Everyone was there, with the addition of the Nick 6! So I got to hang out a bit more with them too. We said our goodbye's and thank you's and made our way back to the room for our last night on board.
Sunday: man, it was soooo hard to wake up! we tried to get up at about 5 a.m., but that didnt work out so well. lol but we eventually got up and left the ship for the last time. it was kinda sad to say goodbye, but i was still really psyched to get home!
Well peoples, that's pretty much it! I hope this encourages you to go on one of the TWO cruises they're doing next year!
All righty, later guys! -Nate
