After listening to your last CD a number of times, even now I still hear things I didn't hear before. This comes under the heading; "physician heal thyself" because it's much easier said than done - put yourself in the present when working on the song instead of the future when you were getting frustrated in Maui. I've always thought "house on the beach in Maui" sounded pretty good...Anyway, on to my point: sometimes when you are too close to a song or album it can really help to step away awhile, (even if you still stress while away!) and so i hope this might help you in arriving back to your studio. clean the slate a little, translate some of your recent globe-trotting experiences into the language of music.
