Im writing.. err typing this in the response or lack of it in the aftermarket for pre-86 fox body mustangs speaking of 79-86(although the 85 SVO is kinda a trasition into the modular 6piece headlight style accept still retaining only two sealed beam headlights) in which had four sealed beam headlights. which gives them a diffrent bumpercover(grille, front valence etc), hood and fenders. Much of the exterior is not reporducted and some of it is but is vary hard to find most things that are are multi-use items. anyone with a 4eyefox especially 79-86 should demand mor aftermarket parts.

Funny thing is even though I havent looked those of you with Capris are probally even more worse off seeing how short they lasted and im talking about the fox chassis years, apparently not the shitty ones made after that are probally rwd and look like they are based on MX-5's.

One of the main things I had been planning to do is convert from sealed beams because they provide what I deem inadequate lighting. I had been desperatly searching for a set of headlights that allowed for bulb replacement only so then I could happily just buy xenon or halogen bulbs, though my dream is to go HID. heres what you see most from any site dedicated to mustangs are these OE lights. you figure these most well know sites would change that: and add 79-86 headlight kits(granted the 85½ could probally mount 87-93 kits)

Its sad that our rides arent as big as the 87-93 deals, though what makes it as bad is how fewer there are on the 4eyed fox and if someone does have one and they swap bumper covers and fenders and not send what was removed to a place that could benifit from those parts. 4x6 headlights are pretty common and as such there should be a demand for non sealed-beam version. Theres only one website that has a universal kit and I believe they are angeleye and universal so they might be labeled as pontiac or acura, dodge or oldsmobile; just remember 4x6. Vertex Racing They're websites through ebay so though everything looks like a bid item they have enough for you to just buy it now. another on who every once in a while has'em is Atomic Street and theres are projector beams I wanted there's for the highbeams. Also www.car-stuff.com has them aswell. They'res are normal clear lense non halo/angel eye or projection, good thing is they dont have that lil LED either inside thats probally posed to come on with parking lights.

Tail lights are another problem though this depends on which ones you like the most I tend to like the 79-84 lenses and both lenses used by the Capri from 79-83 I think. Both mine were cracked and busted and I have these style which is the 6 slots/bars that kinda carry on the heritage of older stangs unlike the 87-93 by having the verticle bar style although its six and not three. luckily I found replacements that where like sixty bucks apiece I think. if you rally want

these junkyards are your best bet or look for a stang or Capri being parted out. I was going to list and show all the other styles purely for refernce but I might do that on my cardomain page whats important now is focus on whats not availible for certain model years of a vehicle that probally has one of the largest aftermarkets. Anywho; no kits or any variants availible. When because if the placement of the bulbs could be the only fox available with sequencial lights because the style of them is a carry-on from earlier generations same for 98-04 SN-95s and 05-up S197s. what is mainly common is the altezza style lights, which these fits all foxes

they not only should not have been released but shouldn't be the ONLY option. It doesn't suite the car at all and if its gonna be the only design i should have other variants besides chrome and black like black-chrome,carbon-fiber, have an all LED version or a orange blinkers. We should not be objected to this bullshit. There isnt even a clear or smoked version of the old slot/bar design. Everyone who read this should request more light options for the 79-86 fox. As you can clearly see these do not even match the car at all. We're talking about an 80's vehicle that has more angles and squares than a geometry book. theres only two round anything on it the steering whell center cap and hood emblem, dats it unless you count wheels.

Another problem we need to rid is the fact there arent any body kits availible unless you have an LX or your forced to swap for an LX or 87-93 front end. I should be able to buy body kits for my fox. Fox  was the longest running Mustang platform that I know of, its not that they wont fit cause I can fit 87-93 body kits the problem lies in the front end; disallowing me to use front valence, bumper covers of those aformentioned kits I dont know the exact manufactures webites or whatever but I know of the distributors who are as much in the wrong knowing they can really help make a difference:

www.cervinis.com

www.eharwood.com

www.abcexclusive.com

Just to name a few who havent had the smoke clear. I should be able to have any bodykit any other fox has and still keep my egg-crate style grille and hood. Once again those of you with Capri's are even furthur off worse because its design is nothing near the mustangs. Application of this would insue a car that can really compete with other foxes and also proper areas for foglights if desired. Even some sideskirts will not match up, you basically have to build your own and "edit" and front valence you may want. Its not fair at all.

I had forgot to add there also isn't any clear/crystal/euro/smoked style sidemarker or parking lights either. which if any early fox owner had the clear or smoked lenses he'd haff to settle with stock amber/orange sidemarker lights and parking lights. Unless you can aquire parts for the Mustangs that where exported to other lands that had different requirements. I cant stress how important this is. To have a mustang that has very few cosmetic bolt-ons is very sad. Everyone who reads this should contact listed companies and all others and demand more sealed beam conversions and headight kits and more non-LX 79-86 body kits or atleast have a 79-86 bumper cover option for LX and low-end model egg-crate grilles. I cant say this enough.

I need a following of people who own early foxes had owned or just like them to asist me in the demand for four eyed fox equality. Do you know that there are things those foxes have that the later models could ever dream of such as headlight louvers. How about those Capri owners who would like to have a bubble hatch? Chances are they'll never get one as luike the headlight louvers they arent made anymore. Best thing to do is to start with restoration parts which for these is a medium sized area, some interior pieces as far as I know arent remade like  steering wheel center caps, emblems are kinda making there way but you cant find any under 40 bucks. How about also recreating some famous four eyes besides the 79 pace car, for axample the McClaren of I think 83 or 84.  Basically the 79-86 should be treated like the 87-93 and thats equally. There is no excuse for ignoring one half of a particular vehicles running year. besides the earlier ones are alot more simple to create anything for, they would be the better fox for cheaper manufacturing and lower prices on parts. You would not believe how many would arise if there was way more parts out. Four eyed power!!
