The Anti-militarism from our political conception, it's fundamentally compromised with the Nonviolent transformation of the society, in a social radical change, since it tends for the society and his life in community without the existence of coercive, police and military devices. This implies replacing systems of domination, hierarchy, authority, oppression, exclusion and obedience by structures based on the participation, the cooperation, the solidarity, the consensus and the tending satisfaction of all the needs of the persons.
The direct action(share) – The Sonorous Anti-militarism concert, looks to promote the social demilitarization, considering this one as the civil intervention against the military power and his influence in the public life and of the persons in Medellin; from musical, artistic processes and symbolic actions(shares) that spread the anti-militarism and the Nonviolence, it considers reaching to the configuration of a social weave, which at first(in principle) recovers and / or makes strategies of empoderamiento(empowering) of the young men and women in defense of the freedoms and their forms of life.
As such the Sonorous Anti-militarism seeks to promote spaces of expression for new musicals and artistic offers in the streets of Medellin. It is a way of amusing ourselves and first of all of resisting to a militarism that stops being a device when permed the social structure in which we are born, returning(changing) daily the "impositions" of agreements between bosses and workers, the victimize and warriors, young men(women) and military men, besides the expedition of laws still more rigorous of safety and defense.
The scene(stage) for this musical action(share) and artistically has been for 10 years the "Workingman park" of Boston neighborhood, place where more than 100 bands have passed or bent musical related to the conscience objection and to the demilitarization of the life. In this long distance, in this fight for demonstrating and to make feel the role of them and the young men and women as makers of an anti military society, the reinvindications or topics that the concert has proposed are: the empoderamiento(empowering) of them and the young men, the solidarity with the communities of peace and in resistance, the visibility of the reasons of the war, the concentration of the lands, the knowledge and the richness, the police brutality and the conscience objection to the legal and illegal recruitment. For this year 2008 the topic or the reinvindication is the resistance of the young men and women in armed and urban contexts: Antimilitary Resistance, Alternatives from the young men and women against the war; since already it is a decade of fights, objections and alternatives in a city where there is breathed the major social and military control for the population.
Some of the musical groups more representatives worldwide and native that they have informed and share the alternative they are: Todos tus Muertos (All Your Dead men) and Lumumba of Argentina in 1999, Generacion Perdida (Lost Generation) of Peru in the year of 2001, Sexy Deaht of Sweden and DJ Jahboot of Switzerland in the year 2003, Zona Marginal (Marginal Zone) of Cali in 2004, la Severa Matacera (the Severe Matacera) of Bogota in 2005, Soporte Klan (Support Klan) of Villarica, Ganyarikies and Desarme (Disarmament) in 2007. The transcendence of the anti-militarism in the city of Medellín and of the musical action(share) antimilitary sonorous has been materialized in the alternative that presents this space for the musical scene that's self managed, provided his music and the message that transmit is not the suitable one, or what is looked for the market, across the production of discs, in this case the Resiste. Vol 1: 30 Colombian bands against the war; also in the unification of the different kinds (genres) and public that join for the music, the life and in opposition to the war, in the construction of the difference at the maximum value of the collectives experiences; and finally, the practice of the anti-militarism and of the Sonorous Antimili our manage today to be a cultural and political modal that reaches to visualizing the alternatives of the young men and women, constructing the resistance of the same ones in armed and urban contexts.
