Current mood:  blah
Category: Music

Been buying up so much stuff that has suddenly turned up on wantlists I have had for years, bizarre Japanese Funk, late 60s soundtracks, 60s Garage, Krautrock classics, Space Rock, obscure Swedish Funk crossover, French Pop/Pysch.

I just don't know what to grab and play at the moment, new electronic music is just annoying me, so much crap being made and getting released, sorry, downloaded.  I think I may take time out to finally decorate my music room, get my vinyl in order, get the synth and 4 tracker out and see what happens, so much influence but in today's climate you need instant satisfaction, a 30 second intro is criminal now as far as I can see.

The more modern stuff I hear the more I want to head back to discover what life was like back then.

Anyway, my first non music post so I guess it could be classed as a rant.

Peace and Fucking, believe.

I think a lot of current music is stagnant at the moment, it may not just be coincidental that mp3 is on the rise, live music may make a comeback. I mean ffs I get most excited by thrash metal (live and cds), and recordwise electronica from about 5-10 years ago.

If you're buying up so much vinyl then why don"t you pull your head out from your own ar5eh0le and get your Monday night show back up and running? Or is that all beneath you? And as for the comment "I just don't know what to grab and play at the moment": you fakin' do, you just can't be f*@king arsed.

Currently, you are head and shoulders my least favorite DJ.

And whats more, I love MP3....

Hambo.

What is the point playing stuff people don't like, I am too lazy to send demo to local lounge/bars, i email them with recommendations with mixes on my site but never hear back. A little disheartening to say the least.

I am currently selling loads of vinyl, just starting to think that people are just not interested in hearing what was around before 2005. The new generation, instant consumable music that has a self life until their next drug taking/saturday afternoon shopping soundtrack.

Fair enough I fucked up on the 209 radio thing buy no going to all the tutorials but they cancelled them and advised me the morning of days I had used my holiday from work. They have now gone FM.

I get satisfaction from seeing a posted mix (not that I do any now) fly down a forum without one comment, a loner? maybe that is just what I want to be, a man with his own music that now doesn't have the desire to share because it seems a pointless excercise.

Me. my room, my music, no stress. Thats how I like it at the moment.

if you're selling lots of vinyl out of interest where do you get your record mailers?

don't think your the only one who posts mixes that dont get commented. i seem to be the only person recently that has left any comments on pauls 'machines are funky' blog linked to his 209radio show. as for the station, even tho i've contributed, turned up to several benefit gigs, etc and 'll be at the launch bbq in a week i really don't think there is enough local interest for cambridge to have a 24/7 volunteer led station, tho i really hope it works out. when ccr was on the go it was at such a turning point in dance music, even apart from that the morning stuff i caught was better than radio cambridgeshire. shows have been cancelled for lack of available station staff before, the training i'd have been interested to but cant commit daytime

I have loads of mailers, you need some?? I could sort you a load, I get 2-3 records delivered to work a day, they are taking over my room.

I need to rejoin up with the 209 crew or start that thing I mentioned at the Fez, just not sure how to aim it what to play. Ideally I need to get Paradox onside and try and real D&B night under the LWI banner then try something more Old Skool. I need to get into town more, stuck in the sticks doesn't help !!!

Pah, go and worship at the shrine of Peterson and Benji, be lead to what is the next thing.

What is the point of exploring yourself if you can get 'on demand' your music preference.

Ya Get ma? Oh shit, someones nicked me biscuits.
