Hellllllllooooooooo myspace!

i trust you all had a great holiday and i hope your new year is even better! i am VERY excited about 2008!! i have some really great things in the works and i will keep you updated as they come along!

i just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has been tuning into the show! we had so much fun doing it so I'm glad you guys are getting a kick out of it! its just good old reality TV insanity!!! i've been asked a lot of questions so i thought i would answer a few...

NO! i did not know what was going on in the house! i only saw the teams when they were in front of the judges on stage! so every week i am just as shocked and horrified as you when i see how some of the teams acted!!! if i HAD known yes of course we would have sent some teams home earlier!!

NO! this doesn't follow a perfect pageant format, it follows a reality TV show format, this show isn't rocket science or a quest to change television history, its suppose to be silly and fun and entertain you!!

YES! we the judges had complete control on who went home and yes sometimes we wanted to die laughing but these are REAL people with REAl feelings and hey there was some REAL money on the line, but i can promise you it only gets crazier and more intense! so get your girlfriend and some popcorn and enjoy! hehe

with that being said...i have been asked a lot about reality TV lately and what would my advice be to people wanting to do it, (especially with the writers strike which i think is devastating.... as i do prefer scripted projects!) i enjoy reality TV and like everything else in moderation... with meet the barkers we had a little bit more control but even with that, if you've never done reality TV before, you don't really have an understanding as how seriously you will be perceived, and how people really BELIEVE what they are watching.... yes its edited, yes there are story editors and yes some reality shows are scripted from the beginning to the end...but if you plan on going on a reality show, and i think this is one of the reasons these types of shows are so popular... because truly anyone has a chance to be on them... KNOW that the 1 minute you act like a jackass weather you think your being funny or doing it for camera time or "good TV" IT WILL haunt you!! you will be known for that for a VERY long time!! you hear people from every reality show say..." it was edited" from "the real world" to " big brother" and frankly people don't understand that or care, you will be known for one moment of stupid lack of judgement you made . so be careful!! it is also very hard for people on reality TV shows to cross over into scripted projects so if thats your goal, reality TV may NOT be for you! so good luck!

waaaaaay off topic, everyone has been asking me about jamie lynn spears... why im not sure, but heres my answer

Approximately One Million teens become pregnant each year in the United States. This results in approximately 520,000 births, 405,000 abortions & 80,000 miscarriages. More than ten percent of this total is in the State of Ca (approx 61,000 in 1997), and ten percent of the California total (approximately 4800 births) is in Orange County. [1] [2] [9]
California has the second highest teen pregnancy rate in the nation. One hundred twenty-five pregnancies per 1000 women aged 15-19 occurred in 1997. The national rate is ninety-seven per 1000 women. [22]
Although the rate of increase in both percentage and absolute numbers rose dramatically in the 1970s &1980s, data from this decade would indicate that the numbers have stabilized or dropped slightly. [2]

why anyone is shocked britneys sister is one of them... im not sure. but i hope she helps out other teen mothers in her position, a person of her fame could shed a lot of light on this in the United States and lets hope she does, besides that..i hope she has a healthy and happy 9 months!!

some others asked me why i was voting for hillary...and here is a link why.

www.issues2000.org/hillary_clinton.htm

issues that are important to me, are womans right to choose, civil rights, education, the enviorment, and healthcare.

i don't want a debate here, you asked. i told, thats it.

and the BIG question on everyones mind! what did we name our cat!

drum roll pleasssssssssse.......... PRINCESS LEIA ( AS IN STAR WARS)
as much fun as i had with the poll, the children have spoken and they won!
personally botox and fluffy were my favorite!

ok with that, I'm off to take down the xmas tree, the ornaments are barely hanging on and im 100% percent its a fire hazard at this point! lol, stay safe this new years! hug your friends , dance on tables and make a new years resolution that DOESNT consist of losing weight!

mine will be... to take piano lessons with my kids!
let me hear yours!!

health wealth and happiness!

New Year's Resolution: To always remember to appreciate the little things in life...

Life is like hot chocolate

A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired. During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives. Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups - porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the hot chocolate.

When they all had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said:
"Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. The cup that you're drinking from adds nothing to the quality of the hot chocolate. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was hot chocolate, not the cup; but you consciously went for the best cups...And then you began eyeing each other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate; your job, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life. The cup you have does not define, nor change the quality of life you have. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the hot chocolate God has provided us. God makes the hot chocolate, man chooses the cups. The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything that they have.

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. And enjoy your hot chocolate

Merry Christmas! I hope you had a great holiday with your family!

Reality TV is definitely a phenomenon all it's own, that's for sure! It's really a successful television medium out there today, who da thunk it?

I like your take on the Jamie Lynn Spears thing. I hope she can set an example in how she cares for herself and her child during this time in her life.

Take care and much love here from Ohio!

Thanks for the statistics on teen mothers. That's interesting. I've been hearing people say a lot of awful things about Jamie Lynn. I'm not really a fan of hers but I have no reason to believe it's the end of world for her. Teen parenting is not ideal and is not something to admire but I'm with ya on the whole shedding of the light thing. I'm just irritated that media outlets are turning this into teen parent=bad parent. That's not true! If she has money AND MOST IMPORTANTLY support from friends and family, she will make a great mother.

My new years resolutions are to:
Go to bed earlier.
Drink more water.
Save all my change and use it for Christmas in 2008.
Do more charity work.

My New Year's Resolution is to not be so co-dependent and to help my husband with his recovery weather going to AA or NA meetings to just being their for him we have had are ups and downs and it has made a strong marriage stronger 7 years yay!! Teen Pregancy makes me sad. I hate that parts of the country are giving brith control to 11 year old girls. I wish young girls valued their bodies more. There are just too many diseases out there these days. I mean I always look at it this way, if I'm sitting in a group of five women, atleast one of them has or had an STD. That is sad. No it doesnt surprise me that Britney's little sister is pregnant, I mean look at what she has to look up to. But c'mon how stupid could this little girl be? She's out having unprotected sex while she is supposed to be a role model for millions of little girls around the world. It's a shame.

On another note, I hope you all really enjoyed your holiday! What did you buy the kids? Mine was spoiled with all kinds of toys but found the one she really liked and forgot about the rest.
