Hey everyone,
I know it's been a long time since I last blogged, I had a couple different topics I was gonna touch on, but I really just have had zero desire to write lately, on top of the fact most of what I have said recently or did was taking way out of context, distorted or just conveyed wrong.
I really did want to say thank you to all my friends who came here and wrote such beautiful letters and sent such amazing comments, they were needed and much appreciated. so truly thank you.
today I went and had lunch with my girlfriend and when I was leaving I got caught in traffic, I was actually right in front of the mormon church and the protestors had gathered and were out against prop 8, as I sat kinda watching everyone and there was about 30 news trucks, about 20 cops on motorcycles came up right behind my car and started blocking the roads...
I honked in support of the protestors and tried to cut up some roads to wilshire where I landed in front of the federal building and if I thought it was crazy in front of the mormon church, it was hopping at the federal building... at this point I just sucked it up that I was gonna be in the car for the next 20 hours, normally the LA road rage would have started to take effect in about 10 min or so, but it was actually really amazing to see all the people in the streets, and feel the energy, I think it's damaging that people have to fight such a proposition but at the same time it was so awe inspiring to see Americans finally using their voices and not just wanting change but demanding it. It made me proud and I really felt with the out come of the election and seeing all the people today that we as a society might really be able to see change. it was as we New Englanders would say "wicked awesome"
so go sign this petition....
www.PetitionOnline.com/seg5130/and if you want to remove me from your friends list. good.
I also wanted to say the "Protect our children Act" passed, which was also amazing, that as well made me feel that together we can make such great changes, thanks to everyone from here who wrote their senators, i wrote both my RI and Cali senators and I was so pleased to see the responses I received from Barbara Boxer and even more pleased that our senator help create this ACT, a fact I was not a aware and proud to learn.
