Cover Your Heart is done. The editing on Anvil Pants (our movie) is done. The remixes are in and, like the Voltron Lions, are being assembled into a massive cartoon killing machine known as Cover Your Heart and The Anvil Pants Odyssey. We know the name is stupid, but so are we and so are you, so get over yourselves. The brand new Mesopotamia Assyrian Mix by Mighty Ancient Tongue (Scott Borland and Kyle Weeks) is up on the page. Look out for the full release this coming summer. Also, it looks like Cruel Melody is finally coming out in Europe and Japan this summer, Holy Matmos! That took forever and a year huh? Anyway, I gotta get back into the studio where we’re working on the next full length "real album". Also, I’m not in Munky from Korn’s new band. I played on 2 songs, and am doing the artwork, but I’m not in the band and apparently there was a press release that I was told made it sound like I’m a member. The only band I’m in is Black Light Burns. Kapeesh? -Wes

Tracklisting

1. Forkboy- Lard
2 .So Alive- Love And Rockets
3. Hungry Like The Wolf- Duran Duran
4. Lucretia My Reflection- Sisters Of Mercy
5. Rid Of Me- PJ Harvey

10. Search And Destroy- Iggy and The Stooges
11. Drowning Together Dying Alone (unreleased Cruel Melody instrumental)
12. Giving In Again (unreleased Cruel Melody instrumental)
13. Failing (unreleased Cruel Melody instrumental)

WELL WELL WELL....once again a band that I can count on posts some news. I just wanna take this time and thank you Wes. You are a true inspiration. When you don't know what the fuck is going on with your favorite band...it's always nice to have a second favorite band, that was inspired by the first favorite band, to constantly update your fans. You know what I'm talking about and so do most of the fans of BLB. Thank you so much Wes. A simple blog post means the world. Sometimes it's too much to ask for other bands though. I will keep supporting you and BLB forever. I mean it when I always post.......

BLB FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, thank you so much.

Holy Matmos, thx for the remix and all the updates- was a good read!

You are working on the follow up of the TBA album already or is it the follow up of CM- sry I'm a bit confused? Holy shit, what can I say?

As far as touring goes, what are your plans? When do you want to come over to beautiful Vienna Rock City?

Cheers
Phil

Hell yeah!

That's an interesting list of covers, but I wouldn't expect anything less than interesting. I can't wait to hear your version of "Forkboy" (a personal favorite), and "Search and Destroy" as well. Also, I noticed the Big Dumb Face cover... is this just an alternate version, or were you not happy with the previous?

Oh, you bastard. I hadn't been sure if I wanted to buy this, but you're covering "Hungry Like the Wolf," so now I have to. And no, I refuse to be ashamed of the fact that I still like Duran Duran all these decades later.

i LOVE the remix.
i love it love it.

isn't it great when someone takes a few samples out of a song and creates something definetely new calling it a "remix". it's better than the ones that are very similar to the original.

i'm personally looking forward to hear the covers.
good work.
good luck.
cheers

Great track list!

To be completely honest, I'm kinda glad Devil Inside didn't make it...everyone and their mongoloid, inbred brother has covered that song. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that you could've brought something new to the table on that song...but frankly, it's been done to death.

Can't wait for the release.
